ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْمَرْءَ إِنَّمَا أُمِرَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِ الْمَسْجِدَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ

Abu Qatadah reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying; when any one of you enters the mosque, he should pray two RAKAHS before sitting down. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 467)  

ابن حبّان:٢٤٩٧أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ السُّلَمِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلْيُصَلِّ سَجْدَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ»

[Machine] Narrated Abu Qatadah: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray while carrying Umamah bint Zainab the daughter of his daughter, and when he stood up, he would put her down, and when he prostrated, he would put her down.
