[Machine] It is said that Khalid ibn Huzayn ibn Ubayd ibn Khaled was appointed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as the leader of Medina when he left to conquer Mecca.  

الحاكم:٦٥١٦ – أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ قَالَ «أَبُو رُهْمٍ اسْمُهُ كُلْثُومُ بْنُ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ مُعَيْسِيرِ بْنِ بَدْرِ بْنِ أَحْمَسَ بْنِ غِفَارٍ

وَيُقَالُ كُلْثُومُ بْنُ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ اسْتَخْلَفَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ لَمَّا خَرَجَ لَفَتْحِ مَكَّةَ»

[Machine] Indeed, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to conquer Mecca, he appointed Abu Ruhm Kulthum ibn Husein al-Ghafari as the leader of Medina.

«إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمَّا خَرَجَ لَفَتْحِ مَكَّةَ اسْتَخْلَفَ أَبَا رُهْمٍ كُلْثُومَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ الْغِفَارِيَّ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ» صحيح
