[Machine] Indeed, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to conquer Mecca, he appointed Abu Ruhm Kulthum ibn Husein al-Ghafari as the leader of Medina.  

الحاكم:٦٥١٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

«إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمَّا خَرَجَ لَفَتْحِ مَكَّةَ اسْتَخْلَفَ أَبَا رُهْمٍ كُلْثُومَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ الْغِفَارِيَّ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ» صحيح

وَيُقَالُ كُلْثُومُ بْنُ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ اسْتَخْلَفَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ لَمَّا خَرَجَ لَفَتْحِ مَكَّةَ»
