[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once stood among us and said, "I urge you to treat my companions well." Then he mentioned the hadith in the following way, "And as for the second witness..."
[Machine] I have stood among you as the position of the messenger of Allah ﷺ among us, so he mentioned the hadith in this way: "As for the differences in this hadith from Abdul Malik ibn Umayr, it is a composition that is in my collection. And what I have is that the two Imams narrate this hadith from that difference between the Imams about Abdul Malik in it, and these chains are not justified by these chains that come out of it." And we have narrated it with a authentic chain from Saad ibn Abi Waqqas from Umar, their condition.
[Machine] He heard my article and paid attention to it. I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing among us as I am standing among you now. Then he said, "Preserve me among my companions, then among those who follow them, then among those who follow them." "Then there will be a lot of noise, falsehood will appear, a man will give testimony without being asked, and will swear without being asked to swear. Whoever loves someone for the sake of Paradise, let them stick to the congregation, as the devil is with the individual, but he is farther away from two. Beware! No man should be alone with a woman, as the devil will be the third of them. Whoever is pleased with his good deed and displeased with his evil deed, then he is a believer." This is the second Hadith in which scholars use it as evidence that consensus is a proof. It is a disputed Hadith different from Ma'tamir ibn Sulayman in seven aspects. The first aspect is this, and it is authentic.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah will never unite this ummah upon misguidance." And he also said: "The hand of Allah is over the group, so follow the majority, for whoever deviates will deviate into the Hellfire."
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah will never unite my Ummah on misguidance, and the Allah's hand (blessings) is upon the Jamāʿah (majority)." (Using translation from Ḥākim 399)
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah will never unite my Ummah on misguidance, and the Allah's hand (blessings) is upon the Jamāʿah (majority)." (Using translation from Ḥākim 399)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah will never gather my Ummah (community) upon misguidance, and the hand of Allah is over the group (Jama'ah) like this - and he raised his hands - for whoever deviates, then he deviates to the Hellfire."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah will never unite this ummah - or he said, my ummah - on misguidance. They will follow the greatest group of Muslims. So whoever deviates, deviates into the Hellfire." Umair bin Ja'far Al-Basri narrated to us, saying: "This is mentioned in the book of Abu Al-Husayn, from Salim bin Abi Al-Dhayyal."
[Machine] The Prophet of Allah (SAW) said, "Allah will never unite my Ummah upon misguidance, and the hand of Allah is upon the group here (indicating a straight path). So follow the majority, for whoever deviates will be in Hellfire."
'Indeed Allah will not gather my Ummah " - or he said: "[Muhammad's]Ummah upon deviation, and Allah's Hand is over the Jama'ah, and whoever deviates, he deviates to the Fire." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2167)
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah will never unite my Ummah on misguidance, and the Allah's hand (blessings) is upon the Jamāʿah (majority)." (Using translation from Ḥākim 399)
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah will never unite my Ummah on misguidance, and the Allah's hand (blessings) is upon the Jamāʿah (majority)."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ that he asked his Lord four things, "He asked his Lord not to die of hunger, and he was granted that. He asked his Lord that they would not gather upon misguidance, and he was granted that. He asked his Lord that they would not turn back to disbelief, and he was granted that. He asked his Lord that their enemies would not overpower them to the extent that they would have the upper hand against them, and he was granted that. He asked his Lord that there would be no fighting amongst them, but he was not granted that." "As for Mubarak bin Suhaim, he is among those who do not walk in the footsteps of this Hadith, but I mentioned him by necessity. The third Hadith is regarding the argument of scholars that consensus is a proof."
The Prophet ﷺ said: He who separates from the community within a span takes off the noose of Islam from his neck. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4758)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever goes against the Muslim community even by an inch, has removed the cloak of Islam from his neck." "Khalid bin Wuhban was not criticized in his narrations, and he is known as a reliable follower, except that the two sheikhs did not include him (in their compilations)." And this text has been narrated from Abdullah bin Umar with a sound chain of narration according to their conditions. Khalid has not weakened.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever separates from the congregation by a hand span has removed the bond of Islam from his neck until he returns." He also said, "Whoever dies without having an imam of the congregation, his death is like the death of the pre-Islamic era." This is the fourth hadith indicating that the consensus of scholars is considered valid evidence. Adh-Dhahabi remained silent about it in his summary.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I command you with five things that Allah has commanded me with: the congregation, listening, obedience, migration, and striving in the way of Allah. Whoever separates himself from the congregation by a handspan has removed the bond of Islam from his head, unless he returns." This narration was reported by Mu'awiya bin Salam and Aban bin Yazid al-Attar from Yahya bin Abi Kathir. As for the narration of Mu'awiya, Adh-Dhahabi refrained from summarizing it.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah has commanded me with five actions, which I adhere to." He then narrated the long hadith, and as for the hadith of Aban ibn Yazid from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, (it is not mentioned in the given text).
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, Allah commanded Yahya ibn Zakariyya with five deeds to act upon, and He commanded the Children of Israel to act upon them as well." He mentioned the Hadith and said in it, "Verily, Allah commands me with five deeds," and he mentioned it in its entirety.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "Whoever leaves the congregation even by a handspan, enters the Fire." "The fifth hadith that indicates that consensus is an evidence."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever separates from a community or reverts to being a Bedouin after his migration, he will have no proof (of his claim)." The two scholars (Bukhari and Muslim) agreed on excluding the hadith of Ghailan ibn Jarir from Ziyad ibn Ri'ah, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever separates from the congregation and dies, his death is the death of ignorance." This wording is different from the sixth hadith indicating that consensus is a source of proof. They agreed on excluding Abu Hurairah in such cases.
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever separates from the community and becomes submissive to authority, will meet Allah with no proof for himself." This was reported by Abu Asim from Kathir.
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say: "Whoever separates from the community and becomes humiliated by authority, he will meet Allah and will have no evidence with Allah."
[Machine] Abu Ali al-Janbi told him that Amr ibn Malik narrated to him from Fadalah ibn Ubayd from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: "There are three people that a man should not ask about: a person who separates from the community and disobeys his leader and dies in disobedience, a slave or servant who runs away from his master and dies, and a woman whose husband is absent and she has sufficient means of livelihood and then she adorns herself after his departure, so do not ask about them."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The obligatory prayer to the obligatory prayer that follows it is an expiation for what is between them. And the Friday prayer to the Friday prayer, and the fasting of one month to the fasting of another month, which means from the month of Ramadan to the month of Ramadan, is an expiation for what is between them." Then he said afterwards, "Except for three." So I understood that this is something important that he is about to mention. He said, "Except for associating partners with Allah, breaking a deal, and abandoning the Sunnah." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, we understand what it means to associate partners with Allah, but what does breaking a deal and abandoning the Sunnah mean?" He said, "Breaking a deal is when you make a transaction with someone and then you dispute with them, you confront them with your sword. And abandoning the Sunnah is leaving the congregation."
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us in Nabawah” or Banawah – he (one of the narrators) said: “Nabawah is near Ta’if” – “And said: ‘Soon you will be able to tell the people of Paradise from the people of Hell.’ They said: ‘How O Messenger of Allah?’ He said: ‘By praise and condemnation. You are Allah’s witnesses over one another.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4221)
2.8 [Machine] Chapter: On Respecting the Scholar
[Machine] "We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a funeral procession of a man from the Ansar. When we reached the grave and it was being prepared, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat down and we sat around him as if birds were perched on our heads." The narration mentioned the authenticity of this hadith, which is documented in the Book of Faith, and that it was not omitted.
[Machine] "When we used to sit with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we would not raise our heads to him out of respect for him."
[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions were with him. It was as if birds were on their heads. So, I greeted and sat down. Then, some Bedouins came to ask him about certain things, until they asked, "Should we seek medication?" He said, "Seek medication, for indeed Allah the Most High has not placed a disease except that He has also placed a cure for it." Then, they asked him about other things, and he said, "O servants of Allah, hardship is placed upon people. It is not permissible for a person to borrow from another person unjustly. That is a hardship and destruction." They then asked him, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the best thing that people can be given?" He said, "Good character."
[Machine] I entered the mosque, and I saw a group that seemed as if their heads were cut off. Then a man spoke to them, and it turned out to be Hudhayfah. He said, "People used to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about good, while I used to ask him about evil," and he mentioned the hadith in its entirety. The text of this hadith is mentioned in both books (referring to Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim). However, I mentioned it in this specific context to listen to the narrator and to understand how to show respect to him. Indeed, they did not mention this wording in both books.
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to enter the mosque and none of us would raise our heads except for Abu Bakr and Umar. They would smile at him and he would smile back at them."
[Machine] Salman was in a group of people who used to remember Allah. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by them, intending to join them, until he approached them. They stopped talking out of respect for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He said, "What were you saying? I saw mercy descending upon you, so I wanted to participate in it with you."
[Machine] About something, I don't know what to say to him. He said, "Have you seen a disciplined, active, and eager man who is keen on jihad, saying that our leaders are planning things that we cannot count?" I said, "By Allah, I don't know what to say to you except that we used to be with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and perhaps he would not command anything unless we did it. And whatever resembles the obscurity of this world is like the foam from the drink, its clarity has been consumed leaving only its dregs. And indeed, one of you will continue to be in goodness as long as they fear Allah Almighty. And when something troubles them, they should approach a knowledgeable person to ask for guidance, and I swear by Allah, they will soon discover that they will not find a solution."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is not one of us who does not honor our elders, show mercy to our young ones, and acknowledge the scholars amongst us." "Malik bin Khayr Al-Ziyadi is a trustworthy Egyptian, and Abu Qabeel is a respected follower." Malik is a trustworthy Egyptian.
[Machine] From Jabir ibn Abdullah: "Obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you." [Quran 4:59] He said, "Those with knowledge and goodness."
[Machine] Ibn Abbas said about the saying of Allah, "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you" [Quran 4:59] - it means the people of knowledge and religion and the people of obedience to Allah who teach the people the noble aspects of their religion, command them to do good, and forbid them from evil. So, Allah has made it obligatory to obey them. These are the statements that indicate the necessity for scholars to be humble towards those whom they teach.
[Machine] "For the sake of Omar, do not wear a garment softer than yours and do not eat more delicious food than yours, even though Allah has granted you ease and plenty. She said, 'I will argue with you until you speak for yourself.' He then mentioned the condition of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and what he endured in his life. She continued to remind him until she cried, and he said, 'Indeed, I have declared that I will share with them in their harsh living conditions, hoping that I will attain their comfortable living conditions.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The nobleness of a believer lies in his faith, his integrity, his intelligence, and his character."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The nobility of a believer is in their religion, their character, and their manners."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You will not be able to please people with your wealth, but it is your good manners and kindness that will please them." It was narrated by Sufyan Ath-Thawri from Abdullah ibn Sa'id. I said, Abdullah means Abdullah ibn Sa'id Al-Maqbari (from the tribe of Maqbara in Yemen).
[Machine] "You cannot please people with your money, but you can please them with a generous smile and good character."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Doing good towards people protects the person from evil, harm, and destruction. Those who do good in this world will be considered the doers of good in the Hereafter." I heard Abu Ali Al-Hafiz saying, "I did not write this hadith except from Abu Abdullah As-Saffar, Muhammad bin Ishaq, and his son, who are both from Al-Basri. We did not know them to have any criticism. As for the saying ‘those who do good in this world,’ it has been narrated without a clear chain of narration from Al-Munkadir from his father, from Jabir, who said, ‘And Al-Munkadir, even if they do not exclude him, he is still mentioned in Al-Shawahid.'"
The Prophet of Allah ﷺ was commanded to hold to forgiveness from the conduct of the people. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4787)
[Machine] Allah has revealed this verse only in the character of the people: "Take forgiveness" [Al-A'raf: 199] and enjoin what is right and turn away from the ignorant.
[Machine] Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ imprisoned a man from his tribe on charges. Then, a man from his tribe came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was delivering a sermon and said, "O Muhammad, why do you imprison my kinsman?" The Prophet ﷺ remained silent and said, "There are people who say that I forbid evil while indulging in it. What do you say?" I turned away from both of them, fearing that he would understand my gesture and invoke a curse upon my people in a way that they would never succeed thereafter. The Prophet ﷺ did not stop until he understood it and said, "Have they said so? Is the one saying this among them? By Allah, if I had done so, it would have been upon them to keep away from their neighbors." The statement has been previously mentioned in the document of Bahz ibn Hakim, but repeating it doesn't add anything to its reliability, as there are authentic references to this hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Some of these references include the hadith of Al-A'mash from Abu Wail from Abdullah, where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ divided something and a man from the Ansar said, "This division, I did not intend to obtain the face of Allah with it." And the hadith of Malik from Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn Abu Talhah from Anas, where Anas said, "I was walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he was wearing a thick Burd (cloak) with a rough edge. Then, an Arab Bedouin snatched the edge of his Burd." There is also the hadith of Shurayk ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Namir from Anas in the story of Hunayn, when he said, "What is forcing me to join this tree? And there are other narrations that are too lengthy to mention."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are three qualities, whoever possesses them, Allah will provide him refuge in His protection, cover him with His mercy, and admit him in His love." It was asked, "What are these qualities, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "The one who, when given, shows gratitude, when judged, forgives, and when angry, remains silent."
[Machine] When Umar ibn Al-Khattab assumed leadership, he addressed the people on the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He praised and thanked Allah and praised the Prophet. Then he said, "O people, I have learned from you that you find me strict and harsh. This is because I used to be with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I was his servant and companion. Allah described him as being compassionate and merciful to the believers. I used to be in front of him like a drawn sword, except when he would calm me down or prohibit me from doing something. Then I would stop, otherwise, I would act forcefully towards people with leniency."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever is gentle, kind, and close to others, Allah will keep them away from the Hellfire."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever gives religious verdicts to people without knowledge, his sin is upon the one who asked him."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not write down anything from me except the Quran. Whoever writes down anything from me other than the Quran, let him erase it."
