56.61 The white mule of the Prophet saws

٥٦۔٦١ باب بَغْلَةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْبَيْضَاءِ

[Machine] Anas said, and Abu Humaid said, that the ruler of Ayla gifted the Prophet ﷺ a white mare.

قَالَهُ أَنَسٌ وَقَالَ أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ أَهْدَى مَلِكُ أَيْلَةَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ بَغْلَةً بَيْضَاءَ.

bukhari:2873ʿAmr b. ʿAlī > Yaḥyá > Sufyān > Abū Isḥāq > ʿAmr b. al-Ḥārith

The Prophet ﷺ did not leave anything behind him after his death except a white mule, his arms and a piece of land which he left to be given in charity.  

البخاري:٢٨٧٣حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ

مَا تَرَكَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلاَّ بَغْلَتَهُ الْبَيْضَاءَ وَسِلاَحَهُ وَأَرْضًا تَرَكَهَا صَدَقَةً  

bukhari:2874Muḥammad b. al-Muthanná > Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Sufyān > Abū Isḥāq > al-Barāʾ > Lah a man Yā Abū ʿUmārah And Llaytum Yawm Ḥunayn

that a man asked him. "O Abu 'ʿUmara! Did you flee on the day (of the battle) of Hunain?" He replied, "No, by Allah, the Prophet ﷺ did not flee but the hasty people fled and the people of the Tribe of Hawazin attacked them with arrows, while the Prophet ﷺ was riding his white mule and Abu Sufyan bin Al-Harith was holding its reins, and the Prophet ﷺ was saying, 'I am the Prophet ﷺ in truth, I am the son of ʿAbdul Muttalib.' "

لَهُ رَجُلٌ يَا أَبَا عُمَارَةَ وَلَّيْتُمْ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ قَالَ لاَ وَاللَّهِ مَا وَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَلَكِنْ وَلَّى سَرَعَانُ النَّاسِ فَلَقِيَهُمْ هَوَازِنُ بِالنَّبْلِ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ الْبَيْضَاءِ وَأَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ آخِذٌ بِلِجَامِهَا وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَنَا النَّبِيُّ لاَ كَذِبْ أَنَا ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبْ
