البزّار:٦٧٨٧حَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن مَعْمَر حَدَّثنا عَبد الصمد حَدَّثنا أبي حَدَّثنا علي بن زيد عَن أَنَسٍ

قال لما قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ غنائم حنين وجدت الأنصار في أنفسها وقالوا يقسم فيئنا فيهم وسيوفنا تقطر من دمائهم فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيّ ﷺ فجلس في قبة من شعر فأرسل إلى الأنصار فجاؤُوا فقال يا معشر الأنصار هل فيكم أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ؟ قَالُوا لَا إلاَّ ابْنُ أخت لنا فقال ابن أخت القوم منهم ثُمَّ قال يا معشر الأنصار أليس جئتكم ضلالا فهداكم الله بي؟ قالوا بلى أو قال أليس وجدتكم ضلالا فهداكم الله بي؟ أليس جئتكم أذلة فنصركم الله بي؟ قالوا بلى قال ثُمَّ سكت هنية فقال لو شئتم لقلتم جئتنا مكذبا فصدقناك وجئتنا طريدا فآويناك وجئتنا مخذولا فنصرناك أفما ترضون أن يذهب الناس بالشاة أَحسَبُهُ قال والبعير وَتَرْجِعُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ إلى بيوتكم؟ قالوا بلى قال لو سلك الناس واديا وسلكتم شعبا لسلكت شعبكم ولولاَ الهجرة لكنت امْرَءًا من الأَنْصَارِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ علي بن زيد بهذا التمام إلاَّ عَبد الوراث

When Allah gave to His Apostle the war booty on the day of Hunain, he distributed that booty amongst those whose hearts have been (recently) reconciled (to Islam), but did not give anything to the Ansar. So they seemed to have felt angry and sad as they did not get the same as other people had got. The Prophet ﷺ then delivered a sermon before them, saying, "O, the assembly of Ansar! Didn't I find you astray, and then Allah guided you on the Right Path through me? You were divided into groups, and Allah brought you together through me; you were poor and Allah made you rich through me." Whatever the Prophet ﷺ said , they (i.e. the Ansar) said, "Allah and his Apostle have more favours to do." The Prophet ﷺ said, "What stops you from answering the Messenger of Allah?" But whatever he said to them, they replied, "Allah and His Apostle have more favours to do." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "If you wish you could say: 'You came to us in such-and-such state (at Medina).' Wouldn't you be willing to see the people go away with sheep and camels while you go with the Prophet ﷺ to your homes? But for the migration, I would have been one of the Ansar, and if the people took their way through a valley or mountain pass, I would select the valley or mountain pass of the Ansar. The Ansar are Shiar (i.e. those clothes which are in direct contact with the body and worn inside the other garments), and the people are Dithar (i.e. those clothes which are not in direct contact with the body and are worn over other garments). No doubt, you will see other people favoured over you, so you should be patient till you meet me at the Tank (of Kauthar).

O people of Ansar, did I not find you erring and Allah guided you aright through me, and (in the state of) being destitute and Allah made you free from want through me, and in a state of disunity and Allah united you through me, and they (the Ansar) said: Allah and His Messenger are most benevolent. He (again) said: Why do you not answer me? They said: Allah and His Messenger are the most benevolent. He said, If you wish you should say so and so, and the event (should take) such and such course (and in this connection he made a mention) of so many things. 'Amr is under the impression that he has not been able to remember them. He (the Holy Prophet) further said: Don't you feel happy (over this state of affairs) that the people should go away with goats and camels, and you go to your places along with the Messenger of Allah? The Ansar are inner garments (more close to me) and (other) people are outer garments. Had there not been migration, I would have been a man from among the Ansar. If the people were to tread a valley or a narrow path, I would tread the valley (chosen) by the Ansar or narrow path (trodden) by them. And you would soon find after me preferences (over you in getting material benefits). So you should show patience till you meet me at the Haud (Kauthar).

He addressed them, saying, 'O people of the Ansar, were you not humiliated and then Allah honored you? They replied, 'Indeed, Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth'. He then asked, 'Were you not misguided and Allah guided you?' They replied, 'Indeed, Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth'. He continued, 'Were you not in poverty and Allah made you rich?' They replied, 'Indeed, Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth'. Then he said, 'Will you not answer me? Will you not say that when you were driven away, we took you in, and when you came to us scared, we gave you safety? Are you not pleased that people take away sheep and camels while you take away the Messenger of Allah to your homes?' If people had traveled through a valley or pass while you also traveled through that valley or pass, I would choose your valley or pass. By Allah, if there was no migration, I would have been one from the Ansar. And certainly, you will meet me by the Pond (in Paradise), so be patient until you meet me there.'"

أحمد:١١٥٤٧حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

اجْتَمَعَ أُنَاسٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالُوا آثَرَ عَلَيْنَا غَيْرَنَا فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَجَمَعَهُمْ ثُمَّ خَطَبَهُمْ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَلَمْ تَكُونُوا أَذِلَّةً فَأَعَزَّكُمُ اللهُ؟ قَالُوا صَدَقَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ قَالَ أَلَمْ تَكُونُوا ضُلَّالًا فَهَدَاكُمُ اللهُ؟ قَالُوا صَدَقَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ قَالَ أَلَمْ تَكُونُوا فُقَرَاءَ فَأَغْنَاكُمُ اللهُ؟ قَالُوا صَدَقَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَلَا تُجِيبُونَنِي؟ أَلَا تَقُولُونَ أَتَيْتَنَا طَرِيدًا فَآوَيْنَاكَ وَأَتَيْتَنَا خَائِفًا فَآمَنَّاكَ أَلَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالشَّاءِ وَالْبُقْرَانِ يَعْنِي الْبَقَرَ وَتَذْهَبُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ فَتُدْخِلُونَهُ بُيُوتَكُمْ لَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ سَلَكُوا وَادِيًا أَوْ شُعْبَةً وَسَلَكْتُمْ وَادِيًا أَوْ شُعْبَةً لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَكُمْ أَوْ شُعْبَتَكُمْ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَإِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ

This concern started to occupy the hearts of some of the Ansar until the saying spread among them until some of them said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met his people and Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah entered upon him and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, this concern has troubled the hearts of the Ansar indefinitely due to what you distributed of this booty among your people and gave your tribes great gifts, while the Ansar did not receive anything from it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "What about you, O Sa'd?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I am just a man from my people. And who am I?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Gather your people for me in this courtyard." So Sa'd went out and gathered the Ansar in that courtyard. Then some of the Muhajireen entered and Sa'd left them, but when others came, he admitted them. When they had assembled, Sa'd came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "This concern has gathered the Ansar for you, O Messenger of Allah." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to them and praised Allah and lauded Him appropriately for what He had bestowed on them, then he said, "O Ansar, I was informed of your concern and I found it in your hearts and were you not misguided and then Allah guided you? Were you not destitute and then Allah enriched you? Were you not enemies and then Allah brought your hearts together?" They replied, "Indeed, by Allah and His Messenger!" He said, "Will you not then answer me, O Ansar?" They asked, "And what is it that we should say, O Messenger of Allah, when Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth?" He said, "I swear by Allah, if you had wished, you could have said so, and you would have told the truth and believed. You came to us as liars and we believed you, forsaken and we helped you, fugitive and we sheltered you, and poor and we enriched you. Did you not find in yourselves, O Ansar, a disposition towards this world that I made some people embrace Islam and entrusted you with it? Are you not pleased, O Ansar, that people take away livestock while you return with the Messenger of Allah in your camels? By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if it were not for migration, I would surely be one of the Ansar. If the people were to take one path and the Ansar another, I would follow the path of the Ansar. O Allah, have mercy on the Ansar and the sons of the Ansar and the sons of the sons of the Ansar." The people began to cry until their tears wet their cheeks, and they said, "We are pleased with the Messenger of Allah's distribution and share." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed and the people dispersed."

لَمَّا أَعْطَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أَعْطَى مِنْ تِلْكَ الْعَطَايَا فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَقَبَائِلِ الْعَرَبِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ وَجَدَ هَذَا الْحَيُّ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَتَّى كَثُرَتْ فِيهِمُ الْقَالَةُ حَتَّى قَالَ قَائِلُهُمْ لَقِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَوْمَهُ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ هَذَا الْحَيَّ قَدْوَجَدُوا عَلَيْكَ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ لِمَا صَنَعْتَ فِي هَذَا الْفَيْءِ الَّذِي أَصَبْتَ قَسَمْتَ فِي قَوْمِكَ وَأَعْطَيْتَ عَطَايَا عِظَامًا فِي قَبَائِلِ الْعَرَبِ وَلَمْ يَكُ فِي هَذَا الْحَيِّ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْءٌ قَالَ فَأَيْنَ أَنْتَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ يَا سَعْدُ؟ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَنَا إِلَّا امْرُؤٌ مِنْ قَوْمِي وَمَا أَنَا؟ قَالَ فَاجْمَعْ لِي قَوْمَكَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَظِيرَةِ قَالَ فَخَرَجَ سَعْدٌ فَجَمَعَ الْأَنْصَارَ فِي تِلْكَ الْحَظِيرَةِ قَالَ فَجَاءَ رِجَالٌ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ فَتَرَكَهُمْ فَدَخَلُوا وَجَاءَ آخَرُونَ فَرَدَّهُمْ فَلَمَّا اجْتَمَعُوا أَتَاهُ سَعْدٌ فَقَالَ قَدِ اجْتَمَعَ لَكَ هَذَا الْحَيُّ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ فَأَتَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ بِالَّذِي هُوَ لَهُ أَهْلٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ مَا قَالَةٌ بَلَغَتْنِي عَنْكُمْ وَجِدَةٌ وَجَدْتُمُوهَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَلَمْ آتِكُمْ ضُلَّالًا فَهَدَاكُمُ اللهُ؟ وَعَالَةً فَأَغْنَاكُمُ اللهُ؟ وَأَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ اللهُ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ؟ قَالُوا بَلِ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمَنُّ وَأَفْضَلُ قَالَ أَلَا تُجِيبُونَنِي يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالُوا وَبِمَاذَا نُجِيبُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَلِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ الْمَنُّ وَالْفَضْلُ قَالَ أَمَا وَاللهِ لَوْ شِئْتُمْ لَقُلْتُمْ فَلَصَدَقْتُمْ وَصُدِّقْتُمْ أَتَيْتَنَا مُكَذَّبًا فَصَدَّقْنَاكَ وَمَخْذُولًا فَنَصَرْنَاكَوَطَرِيدًا فَآوَيْنَاكَ وَعَائِلًا فَآسَيْنَاكَ أَوَجَدْتُمْ فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ فِي لُعَاعَةٍ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا تَأَلَّفْتُ بِهَا قَوْمًا لِيُسْلِمُوا وَوَكَلْتُكُمْ إِلَى إِسْلَامِكُمْ؟ أَفَلَا تَرْضَوْنَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالشَّاةِ وَالْبَعِيرِ وَتَرْجِعُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ فِي رِحَالِكُمْ؟ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ شِعْبًا وَسَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ شِعْبَ الْأَنْصَارِ اللهُمَّ ارْحَمِ الْأَنْصَارَ وَأَبْنَاءَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَأَبْنَاءَ أَبْنَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ فَبَكَى الْقَوْمُ حَتَّى أَخْضَلُوا لِحَاهُمْ وَقَالُوا رَضِينَا بِرَسُولِ اللهِ قِسْمًا وَحَظًّا ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَتَفَرَّقُوا

When the Prophet ﷺ learned of this, he called the Ansar and said, "O people of the Ansar, would you not be pleased if the people took worldly possessions and you took Muhammad to your homes?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if the people were to go down one valley and the Ansar were to go down another, I would go down the valley of the Ansar. The Ansar are my support and my refuge. If it were not for the migration, I would have been from the Ansar."

When the Prophet ﷺ heard this, he sent a message to the Ansar and asked, "Is there anyone among you who is not from your own people?" They replied, "Only the son of our sister." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The son of a people is from among them. It seems you said such and such. Are you not pleased that people should go with worldly goods while you go with Muhammad to your homes?" They replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if people were to take a valley or a mountain, I would choose the valley of the Ansar, or their mountain. The Ansar are my support and my refuge. If it were not for migration, I would have been one of the Ansar."

When Allah gave to His Apostle the war booty on the day of Hunain, he distributed that booty amongst those whose hearts have been (recently) reconciled (to Islam), but did not give anything to the Ansar. So they seemed to have felt angry and sad as they did not get the same as other people had got. The Prophet ﷺ then delivered a sermon before them, saying, "O, the assembly of Ansar! Didn't I find you astray, and then Allah guided you on the Right Path through me? You were divided into groups, and Allah brought you together through me; you were poor and Allah made you rich through me." Whatever the Prophet ﷺ said , they (i.e. the Ansar) said, "Allah and his Apostle have more favours to do." The Prophet ﷺ said, "What stops you from answering the Messenger of Allah?" But whatever he said to them, they replied, "Allah and His Apostle have more favours to do." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "If you wish you could say: 'You came to us in such-and-such state (at Medina).' Wouldn't you be willing to see the people go away with sheep and camels while you go with the Prophet ﷺ to your homes? But for the migration, I would have been one of the Ansar, and if the people took their way through a valley or mountain pass, I would select the valley or mountain pass of the Ansar. The Ansar are Shiar (i.e. those clothes which are in direct contact with the body and worn inside the other garments), and the people are Dithar (i.e. those clothes which are not in direct contact with the body and are worn over other garments). "يَا مَعْشَرَ الأَنْصَارِ! مَا قَالةٌ بَلَغَتْنِى عَنْكُمْ؟ وَجِدَةٌ وَجَدْتُمُوهَا فِى أَنْفُسِكُمْ، أَلَمْ آتِكُمْ ضُلَّالًا فَهَدَاكُمُ اللَّه بِى؟ وَعَالةً فَأَغْنَاكُمْ اللَّهُ؟ وَأَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ؟ قَالُوا: بَلَى، قَالَ: لَا تُجِيبُونِى يَا مَعْشَرَ الأَنْصَارِ! أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوْ شِئْتُمْ لَقُلْتُمْ فَصَدَّقْتُكُمْ أَتَيْتَنَا مُكَذَّبًا فَصَدَّقْنَاكَ، وَمَخْذُولًا فَنَصْرنَاكَ، وَطَرِيدًا فآوَيْنَاكَ، وَعَائِلًا فَأَسْبَيْنَاكَ، أَوْجَدْتُمْ فِى أَنْفُسِكُمْ مَعْشَرَ الأَنْصَارِ فِى لُعَاعةٍ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا تَأَلَّفْتُ بِهَا قَوْمًا لِيُسْلِمُوا، وَوَكلْتُكُمْ إِلَى إِسْلَامِكُمْ، أَلَا تَرْضَوْنَ -يَا مَعْشَرَ الأَنْصَارِ- أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالشَّاةِ والْبَعيرِ وَتَرْجِعُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّه إِلَى رِحَالِكُمْ، فَوَالَّذِى نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرأً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ، وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ شِعْبًا، وَسَلَكَتِ الأَنْصَار شَعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ شِعْبَة الأَنْصَارِ، اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمِ الأَنْصَارَ وَأَبْنَاءَ الأَنْصَارِ، وَأَبْنَاءَ أَبْنَاءِ الأَنْصَارِ".

"عَنْ أنَسٍ قَالَ: أعْطَى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ مِنْ غَنَائِم حُنَيْنٍ الأقْرعَ بْنَ حَابِسٍ مِائةً مِن الإبِلِ، وَعُيَيْنَةَ بْنَ حِصْنٍ مِائَةً مِن الإِبِلِ، فَقَالَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الأنْصَارِ: يُعْطِى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ غَنَائِمَنَا نَاسًا تَقْطُرُ سُيُوفُنَا مِنْ دِمَائِهِمْ أَوْ تَقْطُرُ سُيُوفُهُمْ منْ دِمَائِنَا؟ فَبَلغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ فَأرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَجَاءُوا فَقَالَ: فيكُمْ غَيْرُكُمْ؟ قَالُوا: لاَ، ابْنُ أخْتِنَا، قَالَ: ابْنُ أُخْتِ القَوْم مِنْهُمْ، فَقَالَ: قُلتُمْ كَذَا وَكَذَا، أمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بالشَّاةِ وَالبَعِيرِ وَتَذْهَبُونَ بِمُحمَّد إِلَى دِيَارِكُمْ؟ قَالُوا: بَلَى يَا رَسولَ الله، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : النَّاسُ دِثَارٌ وَالأْنصَارُ شِعَارٌ، الأنصَارُ كَرِشِى وَعَيْبَتِى، وَلَوْلاَ الهِجْرَةُ لَكنتُ امْرأ مِنَ الأنْصَارِ".

"عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا أفَاءَ الله عَلَى رَسُولِهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ مَا أفَاءَ قَسَمَ في النَّاسِ في المُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ، وَلَمْ يُعْطِ الأنْصَارَ شَيْئًا، وَكَأَنَّهُمْ وَجَدُوا إِذَا لَمْ يُصِبْهُمْ مَا أَصَابَ النَّاس، فَخَطَبَهُمْ فَقَالَ: يَا مَعْشَرَ الأنْصَارِ! أَلَمْ أَجِدْكمْ ضُلَّالًا فَهَدَاكُمْ الله بِى، وَكنْتُمْ مُتَفَرِّقِينَ فجَمَعَكُمْ الله، وَعَاَلةً فَأغْنَاكُم الله بِي، كلَّمَا قَالَ شَيْئًا قَالُوا: الله وَرَسُولُهُ أمَنُّ، قَالَ: فَمَا يَمْنَعُكُمْ أَنْ تجيِبُوا؟ قَالُوا: الله وَرَسُولُهُ أمَنُّ، قَالَ: لَو شِئْتُمْ قُلتُمْ: جِئْتنَا كذَا وَكذا أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالشَّاةِ وَالبَعِيرِ وَتَذْهَبُونَ

بِرَسُولِ الله ﷺ إِلَى رِحَالِكُمْ، لَوْلاَ الهِجْرَةُ لَكنتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الأنْصَارِ، وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا أوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِىَ الأنْصَارِ وَشِعْبَهُمْ، الأنْصَارُ شِعَارٌ، وَالنَّاسُ دِثَارٌ، وَإِنَّكُمْ سَتَلقَوْنَ بَعْدِى أثْرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلقَوْنِى عَلَى الحَوْضِ".
