[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ gave from the spoils of Hunayn to Uyaynah, Al-Aqra', and others, so the Ansar said, "Will he give away our spoils, while our swords are still dripping with their blood or their blood is still dripping from our swords?" When the Prophet ﷺ learned of this, he called the Ansar and said, "O people of the Ansar, would you not be pleased if the people took worldly possessions and you took Muhammad to your homes?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if the people were to go down one valley and the Ansar were to go down another, I would go down the valley of the Ansar. The Ansar are my support and my refuge. If it were not for the migration, I would have been from the Ansar."

أَعْطَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ غَنَائِمِ حُنَيْنٍ عُيَيْنَةَ وَالْأَقْرَعَ وَغَيْرَهُمَا فَقَالَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ أَيُعْطِي غَنَائِمَنَا مَنْ تَقْطُرُ سُيُوفُنَا مِنْ دِمَائِهِمْ أَوْ تَقْطُرُ دِمَاؤُهُمْ مِنْ سُيُوفِنَا فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَدَعَا الْأَنْصَارَ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالدُّنْيَا وَتَذْهَبُونَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ إِلَى دِيَارِكُمْ؟ قَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا وَسَلَكَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ شِعْبَ الْأَنْصَارِ الْأَنْصَارُ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَالْأَنْصَارِ

When Mecca was conquered, he (the Holy Prophet) distributed the spoils among the Quraish. Upon this the Ansar said: It is strange that our swords are dripping with their blood, whereas our spoils have been given to them (to the Quraish). This (remark) reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and so he gathered them and said: What is this that has been conveyed to me about you? They said: (Yes) it is that very thing that, has reached you and they were not (the people) to speak a lie. Upon this he said: Don't you like that the people should return to their houses along with worldly riches, whereas you should return to your houses with the Messenger of Allah? If the people were to tread a valley or a narrow path, and the Ansar were also to tread a valley or a narrow path, I would tread the valley (along with the) Ansar or the narrow path (along with the) Ansar.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave Abu Sufyan, Uyaynah, Al-Aqra', and Suhayl ibn Amr and others from the spoils of Hunayn. The Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah, our swords are dripping with their blood while they take the spoils." When the Prophet ﷺ heard about this, he gathered them in a tent until it became full and asked, "Is there anyone among you who is not satisfied?" They replied, "Only the son of our aunt." He said, "The nephew of a people is from them." He then asked, "Did you say this and that?" They replied, "Yes." He said, "You are the banner and the people are the dust. Are you not satisfied that the people take sheep and camels while you go with the Messenger of Allah to your homes?" They replied, "Yes." The Ansar said, "If people travel through a valley, and the Ansar travel through another, I would travel with the Ansar. If it were not for Hijrah, I would have been one of the Ansar." Hammad said, "He gave each of them a hundred camels, and each of them gave a name to his camel."

Some of the Ansar said, "The Messenger of Allah is giving our spoils to people whose swords are still dripping with our blood, or whose swords are dripping with their blood." When the Prophet ﷺ heard this, he sent a message to the Ansar and asked, "Is there anyone among you who is not from your own people?" They replied, "Only the son of our sister." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The son of a people is from among them. It seems you said such and such. Are you not pleased that people should go with worldly goods while you go with Muhammad to your homes?" They replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if people were to take a valley or a mountain, I would choose the valley of the Ansar, or their mountain. The Ansar are my support and my refuge. If it were not for migration, I would have been one of the Ansar."  

أحمد:١٣٠٨٤حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

أَعْطَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ غَنَائِمِ حُنَيْنٍ الْأَقْرَعَ بْنَ حَابِسٍ مِائَةً مِنَ الْإِبِلِ وَعُيَيْنَةَ بْنَ حِصْنٍ مِائَةً مِنَ الْإِبِلِ فَقَالَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُعْطِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ غَنَائِمَنَا نَاسًا تَقْطُرُ سُيُوفُهُمْ مِنْ دِمَائِنَا أَوْ تَقْطُرُ سُيُوفُنَا مِنْ دِمَائِهِمْ فَبَلَغَهُ ذَلِكَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ هَلْ فِيكُمْ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ؟ قَالُوا لَا إِلَّا ابْنُ أُخْتٍ لَنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ابْنُ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ أَقُلْتُمْ كَذَا وَكَذَا أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالدُّنْيَا وَتَذْهَبُونَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ إِلَى دِيَارِكُمْ؟ قَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ أَخَذَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا أَخَذْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَوْ شِعْبَهُمْ الْأَنْصَارُ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَالْأَنْصَارِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed the spoils of Hunayn, giving a hundred camels to Al-Arqam bin Habis, and a hundred camels to Uyaynah bin Badr. He also mentioned a group from the Ansar and they said, "O Messenger of Allah, will you be giving our spoils to a people whose swords are dripping with our blood, or will their blood mix with our swords?" When he was informed of this, he gathered the Ansar and said, "Is there anyone among you besides these two?" They said, "No, except for the son of our maternal aunt." He (the Prophet) said, "The nephew of the people is from them." Then he said, "O group of the Ansar, do you not want the people to take the worldly possessions and the cattle while you take Muhammad to your homes?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "By the One in whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, if the people took a valley and the Ansar took a mound, I would take the mound of the Ansar. The Ansar are my supporters, my confidants, and if not for the Hijra, I would have been one of the Ansar."  

ابن حبّان:٧٢٦٨أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ
