Anas reported that the Prophet ﷺ saw a man driving a sacrificial camel. "Ride it," he told him. The man replied, "It is a sacrificial camel." "Ride it," he repeated. The man said again, "It is a sacrificial camel." "Ride it," he repeated. The man said, "It is a sacrificial camel." The Prophet said, "Ride it, and woe to you!"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man driving his Badana (sacrificial camel). He said, "Ride on it." The man said, "It is a Badana." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ride on it." He (the man) said, "It is a Badana." The Prophet said, "Ride on it." And on the second or the third time he (the Prophet ﷺ ) added, "Woe to you."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ

The Prophet ﷺ saw a man driving a Badana. He said, "Ride on it." The man replied, "It is a Badana." The Prophet ﷺ said (again), "Ride on it." He (the man) said, "It is a Badana." The Prophet ﷺ said thrice, "Ride on it."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا ثَلاَثًا

Abu Huraira said, "The Prophet ﷺ saw a man driving a Badana (sacrificial camel). The Prophet ﷺ said (to him), 'Ride on it.' He replied, 'It is a Badana.' The Prophet ﷺ again said, 'Ride on it!' Abu Huraira added, 'Then I saw that man riding it, showing obedience to the Prophet ﷺ, and a shoe was (hanging) from its neck.' " Narrated Abu Huraira: From the Prophet: (as above).

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ رَاكِبَهَا يُسَايِرُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَالنَّعْلُ فِي عُنُقِهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man driving a Badana and said to him, "Ride on it," and on the second or the third time he added, "Woe to you."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلاً يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

the Messenger of Allah saw a man driving a Badanah (Sacrificial camel) and said: "Ride it." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, it is a Badanah." He said: "Ride it, woe to you!" the second or third time.

“Ride it.” He said: “It is a sacrificial animal.” He said: “Ride it, woe to you!”

“Ride it.” He said: “It is a sacrificial animal.” He said: “Ride it, woe to you!” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3103)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ passed by a man driving a camel. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ride it." The man said, "It is a camel of burden." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ride it." Abu Hurairah said, "I saw him riding with the Prophet ﷺ, and on its neck was a sandal."

مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِرَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يُسَايِرُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَفِي عُنُقِهَا نَعْلٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man driving a camel and said, "Ride it." The man replied, "O Messenger of Allah, it is a camel for carrying goods." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ride it."

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِرَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةًفقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا

[AI] I heard Abu Hurairah saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about riding the badanah. He said, "Ride it." They said, "But it is a beast of burden." He said, "Ride it and woe to you."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ رُكُوبِ الْبَدَنَةِ؟ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ

“Ride it.” He said: “It is a sacrificial animal.” He said: “Ride it, woe to you!” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3103)

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS)saw a man driving the sacrificial camel. He said ride on it. He said this is a sacrificial camel. He again said ride on it, bother you, either the second or the third time he spoke. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1760)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ was asked about riding the Bada'nah (a type of camel), so he said, "Ride it." The person said, "But it is a Bada'nah." He replied, " Ride it, and woe to you."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ رُكُوبِ الْبَدَنَةِ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ

"Ride it." He said: "It "It is Badanah." He said: "Ride it even if it is a Badanah." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2801)

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man while he was driving a pack animal. He said, "Ride it." The man said, "It is a pack animal." He said, "Ride it, and woe to you."

أَتَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى رَجُلٍ يَسُوقُبَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ أَوْ وَيْلَكَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to a man who was driving a camel and said, "Ride it." The man replied, "O Messenger of Allah, it is a stubborn camel." The Prophet repeated, "Ride it." The man repeated, "It is a stubborn camel." Again, the Prophet said, "Ride it." The man repeated, "It is a stubborn camel." And again, the Prophet said, "Ride it." "Woe to you!" or "Curse be upon you!" exclaimed Hisham in doubt.

أَتَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى رَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ أَوْ وَيْلَكَ ارْكَبْهَا شَكَّ هِشَامٌ

“Ride it.” He said: “It is a sacrificial animal.” He said: “Ride it, woe to you!” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3103)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ وَيْحَكَ أَوْ وَيْلَكَ ارْكَبْهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man driving forward a camel which he was going to sacrifice, and he told him to ride it. The man said, "Messenger of Allah, it is an animal that I am going to sacrifice," and he replied, "Ride it, woe on you," either the second or the third time.

رَأَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ «ارْكَبْهَا» قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «ارْكَبْهَا» قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «ارْكَبْهَا» قَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ وَالرَّابِعَةِ «ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ»

أَنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ اركبها

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى رَجُلا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَإن كَانَتْ بَدَنَةً

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ؛ أَنَّه رَأَى رَجُلا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إنها بدنة قال اركبها

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ؛ أَنَّه سُئِلَ عَن ركوب البدن قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا ويلك أو ويحك

أَنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ رَأَى رجلاً يسوق بدنة فقال اركبها فقال إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ أَوْ وَيْلَكَ

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ؛ أَنَّه رَأَى رَجُلا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا وَيْحَكَ أَوْ وَيْلَكَ

[AI] Anas reported that the Prophet ﷺ saw a man driving a camel and said to him, "Ride it." He replied, "It is a weak camel." The Prophet said, "Ride it." He replied, "It is a weak camel." The Prophet said, "Ride it."

عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَأَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ لَهُ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا

" عَنْ أنَسٍ قَالَ: رَأى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً (* * *)، فَقَال ارْكبْهَا قَالَ: إنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ، قَالَ: ارْكبْهَا".

"عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: رَأَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقالَ: ارْكَبْهَا، قَالَ: إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ، قَالَ: ارْكَبْهَا وَإِنْ كَانَتْ بَدَنَةً".
