Sulaiman bin Buraidah reported on his father’s authority The Prophet ﷺ said “Fight in the name of Allaah and in the path of Allaah and with him who disbelieves in Allaah fight and do not be treacherous and do not be dishonest about boot yand do not deface (in killing) and do not kill a child.”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ اغْزُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَقَاتِلُوا مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللَّهِ اغْزُوا وَلاَ تَغْدِرُوا وَلاَ تَغُلُّوا وَلاَ تُمَثِّلُوا وَلاَ تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيدًا

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us in a military detachment and said: ‘Go in the Name of Allah, and in the cause of Allah. Fight those who disbelieve in Allah. Do not mutilate, do not be treacherous, do not steal from the spoils of war, and do not kill children.’”

بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَقَالَ سِيرُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قَاتِلُوا مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللَّهِ وَلاَ تُمَثِّلُوا وَلاَ تَغْدِرُوا وَلاَ تَغُلُّوا وَلاَ تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيدًا

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz wrote to one of his governors, "It has been passed down to us that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent out a raiding party, he would say to them, 'Make your raids in the name of Allah in the way of Allah. Fight whoever denies Allah. Do not steal from the booty, and do not act treacherously. Do not mutilate and do not kill children.' Say the same to your armies and raiding parties, Allah willing. Peace be upon you."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً يَقُولُ لَهُمُ اغْزُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تُقَاتِلُونَ مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللَّهِ لاَ تَغُلُّوا وَلاَ تَغْدِرُوا وَلاَ تُمَثِّلُوا وَلاَ تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيدًا وَقُلْ ذَلِكَ لِجِيُوشِكَ وَسَرَايَاكَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would send out his armies, he would say, "Go forth in the name of Allah, and fight in the way of Allah. Those who disbelieve in Allah, do not betray them, do not deceive them, do not mutilate the dead bodies, do not kill children, and do not harm the people in monasteries."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا بَعَثَ جُيُوشَهُ قَالَ اخْرُجُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللهِ لَا تَغْدِرُوا وَلا تَغُلُّوا وَلا تُمَثِّلُوا وَلا تَقْتُلُوا الْوِلْدَانَ وَلا أَصْحَابَ الصَّوَامِعِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to say, "In the name of Allah, and for the sake of Allah, and on the path of the Messenger of Allah, do not cheat, betray, imitate, or kill children."

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً قَالَ «بِسْمِ اللهِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ لَا تَغُلُّوا وَلَا تَغْدِرُوا وَلَا تُمَثِّلُوا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا الْوِلْدَانَ»

[Machine] About the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , it has been narrated that when he would send out his armies, he would say, "Go out in the name of Allah, fight for the cause of Allah. Do not commit excesses, do not mutilate, do not kill children, and do not kill those who are in places of worship."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ جُيُوشَهُ قَالَ «اخْرُجُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ تُقَاتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللهِ لَا تَعْتْدُوا وَلَا تُمَثِّلُوا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا الْوِلْدَانَ وَلَا أَصْحَابَ الصَّوَامِعِ»

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us in a military detachment and said: ‘Go in the Name of Allah, and in the cause of Allah. Fight those who disbelieve in Allah. بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَقَالَ «سِيرُوا بِاسْمِ اللهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ تُقَاتِلُونَ عَدُوَّ اللهِ وَلَا تَغُلُّوا وَلَا تَغْدِرُوا وَلَا تُمَثِّلُوا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيدًا»

عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً قَالَ اغْزُوا بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَقَاتِلُوا مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَا تَغُلُّوا وَلَا تُمَثِّلُوا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيدًا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ

عَلَيه وَسَلَّم كَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً قَالَ اغْزُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قاتلوا من كفر بالله ولاَ تمثلوا ولاَ تقتلوا وليداوخالد بن الفزر لا نعلم روى عنه إلاَّ الحسن بن صالح ولاَ نعلمُ روى إلاَّ هذين الحديثين عَن أَنَس بيان أَبُو بشر

"خُذْ فاغزُ في سبيل اللَّه فقاتِلوا من كفر باللَّه، لا تغُلُّوا ولا تغْدِروا، ولا تُمثِّلوا، ولا تقْتُلوا وليدًا، فهذا عهدُ اللَّه وسيرةُ نبيِّهِ".
