The Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed Dhat Irq as the place for putting on ihram for the people of Iraq. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1739)   

البيهقي:٨٩٢٠أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو وأنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْإِسْفَرَايِينِيُّ ثنا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَشْرِقِ ذَاتَ عِرْقٍ
