The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There are forty virtues, the highest of them being to lend a milch-goat. No one performs any one of them, hoping for its reward and believing in what is promised for it, except that Allah will admit him to Paradise because of it.”

Hassan said: So we counted what is below lending a milch-goat, such as returning a greeting, saying the tashmiyah 'yarḥamuk Allāh' (may Allah have mercy on you) to one who sneezes, removing harm from the road, and the like, but we were not able to reach fifteen virtues.

قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «أَرْبَعُونَ خَصْلَةً، أَعْلَاهُنَّ: مَنِيحَةُ الْعَنْزِ، ما مِنْ عَامِلٍ يَعْمَلُ بِخَصْلَةٍ منها رَجَاءَ ثَوَابِها، وَتَصْدِيقَ مَوْعُودِها، إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ بِها الْجَنَّةَ» 

قالَ حَسَّانُ: فَعَدَدْنا ما دُونَ مَنِيحَةِ الْعَنْزِ، مِنْ رَدِّ السَّلَامِ، وَتَشْمِيتِ الْعَاطِسِ، وَإِمَاطَةِ الأَذَى عن الطَّرِيقِ وَنَحْوِهِ، فَما اسْتَطَعْنا أَنْ نَبْلُغَ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ خَصْلَةً.

[Machine] The translation of the given text into English is as follows:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Forty good deeds, the best of which is the gift of a she-goat, will be credited to a servant or a man (who performs them) with hope for their reward or fulfilling a promise. Allah will admit him to Paradise because of them."

قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَرْبَعُونَ حَسَنَةً أَعْلَاهَا مِنْحَةُ الْعَنْزِ لَا يَعْمَلُ عَبْدٌ أَوْ قَالَ رَجُلٌ بِخَصْلَةٍ مِنْهَا رَجَاءَ ثَوَابِهَا أَوْ تَصْدِيقَ مَوْعُودِهَا إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُ اللهُ بِهَا الْجَنَّةَ

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The merit of the Ahmar is forty good deeds. If a servant performs a good deed of it, hopeful of its reward and believing in its promise, Allah will admit him to Paradise with it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَرْبَعُونَ حَسَنَةً أَعْلَاهُنَّ مَنِيحَةُ الْعَنْزِ لَا يَعْمَلُ الْعَبْدُ بِحَسَنَةٍ مِنْهَا رَجَاءَ ثَوَابِهَا وَتَصْدِيقَ مَوْعُودِهَا إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُ اللهُ بِهَا الْجَنَّةَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Forty good deeds, the highest of which is giving a gift of a she-camel. There is no good deed that a servant performs, hoping for its reward and believing in its fulfillment, except that Allah will enter him into Paradise with it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَرْبَعُونَ حَسَنَةً أَعْلَاهَا مِنْحَةُ الْعَنْزِ مَا مِنْهَا حَسَنَةٌ يَعْمَلُ بِهَا عَبْدٌ رَجَاءَ ثَوَابِهَا وَتَصْدِيقَ مَوْعُودِهَا إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُ اللهُ بِهَا الْجَنَّةَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are forty qualities that Allah has bestowed upon His servant, and whoever possesses any of them without seeking its reward or believing in its promise, Allah will enter him into paradise through it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَرْبَعُونَ خَصْلَةً أَعْلَاهُنَّ مِنْحَةُ الْعَنْزِ لَا يَعْمَلُ عَبْدٌ بِخَصْلَةٍ مِنْهَا رَجَاءَ ثَوَابِهَا وَتَصْدِيقَ مَوْعُودِهَا إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا الْجَنَّةَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are forty good deeds, the highest of which is giving a gift of a female goat. No servant does any of these good deeds, hoping for their reward and believing in their promise, except that Allah will admit him into Paradise."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَرْبَعُونَ حَسَنَةً أَعْلَاهُنَّ مِنْحَةُ الْعَنْزِ لَا يَعْمَلُ عَبْدٌ بِخَصْلَةٍ مِنْهَا رَجَاءَ ثَوَابِهَا وَتَصْدِيقًا بِمَوْعُودِهَا إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ»
