Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to send the Hadi from Medina and I used to twist the garlands for his Hadi and he did not keep away from any of these things which a Muhrim keeps away from.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُهْدِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْيِهِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ

I used to make the garlands for (the Hadis of) the Prophet ﷺ and he would garland the sheep (with them) and would stay with his family as a non-Muhrim.

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ الْقَلاَئِدَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَيُقَلِّدُ الْغَنَمَ وَيُقِيمُ فِي أَهْلِهِ حَلاَلاً

I used to twist the garlands for the sheep of the Prophet ﷺ and he would send them (to the Kaʿba), and stay as a non-Muhrim.

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ الْغَنَمِ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَا ثُمَّ يَمْكُثُ حَلاَلاً

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent the sacrificial animals from Medina. I wove garlands for his sacrificial animals (and then he hung them round their necks), and he would not avoid doing anything which the Muhrim avoids.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُهْدِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْيِهِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُ الْمُحْرِمُ

I recall how I wove garlands for the sacrificial animals (the goats) of Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He sent them and then stayed with us as a non-Muhrim.

لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي أَفْتِلُ الْقَلاَئِدَ لِهَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْغَنَمِ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهِ ثُمَّ يُقِيمُ فِينَا حَلاَلاً

I often wove garlands for the sacrificial animals of Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he garlanded his sacrificial animals, and then he sent them and stayed in the ouse) avoiding nothing which a Muhrim avoids.

رُبَّمَا فَتَلْتُ الْقَلاَئِدَ لِهَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَيُقَلِّدُ هَدْيَهُ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِهِ ثُمَّ يُقِيمُ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُ الْمُحْرِمُ

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) would send the sacrificial animals as offerings (to Makkah) from Madinah. I would twist the garlands of the sacrificial animals ; thereafter he would not abstain from anything from which a pilgrim putting on Ihram abstains.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُهْدِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْيِهِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُ الْمُحْرِمُ

"I twisted the garlands for all of the Hadi of the Messenger of Allah, which were sheep, then he did not assume Ihram."

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ كُلَّهَا غَنَمًا ثُمَّ لاَ يُحْرِمُ

"The Messenger of Allah used to send the Hadi from Al-Madinah, and I would twist the garlands for his Hadi, then he did not avoid anything that the person in Ihram avoids."

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُهْدِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْيِهِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ

"I used to twist the garlands for the Hadi of the Messenger of Allah, then he would send them, then he would do whatever the non-Muhrim does before the Hadi reached its place (of sacrifice)."

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَا ثُمَّ يَأْتِي مَا يَأْتِي الْحَلاَلُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَ الْهَدْىُ مَحِلَّهُ

"I used to twist the garlands of the Hadi of the Messenger of Allah, then he would stay with his family and not enter Ihram."

إِنْ كُنْتُ لأَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ يُقِيمُ وَلاَ يُحْرِمُ

"I used to twist the garlands of the Hadi of the Messenger of Allah, then he would garland his Hadi, then sent it, they stay (with his family) and not avoid anything that the Muhrim avoids."

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ الْقَلاَئِدَ لِهَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَيُقَلِّدُ هَدْيَهُ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِهَا ثُمَّ يُقِيمُ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ

"I remember twisting the garlands for the sheep, the Hadi of the Messenger of Allah, then he stayed as a non-Muhrim."

لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي أَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ الْغَنَمِ لِهَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ يَمْكُثُ حَلاَلاً

"I used to twist the garlands for the sacrificial sheep of the Messenger of Allah."

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ غَنَمًا

"I sued to twist the garlands of the sacrificial sheep of the Messenger of Allah. Then he did not enter a state of Ihram."

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ غَنَمًا ثُمَّ لاَ يُحْرِمُ

"I used to twist the garlands of sacrificial sheep of the Messenger of Allah. Then he did not enter a state of Ihram."

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ غَنَمًا ثُمَّ لاَ يُحْرِمُ

"I used to twist the garlands for the Hadi of the Messenger of Allah. Then he would not avoid anything that the Muhrim avoids."

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ

"I remember twisting the garlands for the sacrificial sheep of the Messenger of Allah, then he sent them and stayed with us as a non-Muhrim (not in a state of Ihram)."

لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي أَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْغَنَمِ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَا ثُمَّ يُقِيمُ فِينَا حَلاَلاً

‘Aishah the wife of the Prophet ﷺ said; “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to send the sacrificial animal from Al-Madinah, and I would twist the garlands for his sacrificial animal, then, he would not (because of that) avoid the things that the one in Ihram avoids.”

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُهْدِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْيِهِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُ الْمُحْرِمُ

“I used to twist the garlands for the sacrificial animal of the Prophet ﷺ, and his sacrificial animal would be garlanded and sent (to Makkah), and he would stay (in Al-Madinah) without avoiding any of the things that the one in Ihram avoids.”

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ الْقَلاَئِدَ لِهَدْىِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَيُقَلِّدُ هَدْيَهُ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِهِ ثُمَّ يُقِيمُ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ

[AI] "I used to untangle the necklaces of the Prophet's ﷺ gifts, then he would send his gift with a replica and he would stay in Madinah and not avoid anything until his gift is sacrificed."

«كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَدْيِهِ مُقَلَّدَةً وَيُقِيمُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَلَا يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا حَتَّى يُنْحَرَ هَدْيُهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to send the reminder to Makkah from Madinah, and I would untie the knots of the reminder with my own hands before the reminder reached Makkah.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَبْعَثُ بِالْبُدْنِ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ وَأَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ الْبُدْنِ بِيَدَيَّ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي مَا يَأْتِي الْحَلَالُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَبْلُغَ الْبُدْنُ مَكَّةَ

"I used to twist the garlands for the Hadi of the Messenger of Allah. Then he would not avoid anything that the Muhrim avoids." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2794)

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدَيَّ ثُمَّ لَا يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُ الْمُحْرِمُ

‘Aishah the wife of the Prophet ﷺ said; “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to send the sacrificial animal from Al-Madinah, and I would twist the garlands for his sacrificial animal, then, he would not (because of that) avoid the things that the one in Ihram avoids.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3094)

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُهْدِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ بُدْنِهِ ثُمَّ لَا يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ

[AI] As if I see myself untangling the strands of the precious necklace of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made from wool, then nothing stops him from anything.

كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيَّ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْغَنَمِ ثُمَّ لَا يُمْسِكُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ

[AI] I used to untangle the necklaces of the gifts of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he would not need a woman until the need of the traveler is fulfilled.

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَا يَدَعُ حَاجَةً لَهُ إِلَى امْرَأَةٍ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ الْحَاجُّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to send offerings, so we untie its decorations for him, then he does not withhold from anything that the forbidden withhold from.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَبْعَثُ بِالْهَدْيِ فَنَفْتِلُ لَهَا قَلَائِدَهَا ثُمَّ لَا يُمْسِكُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ مِمَّا يُمْسِكُ عَنْهُ الْمُحْرِمُ

"I sued to twist the garlands of the sacrificial sheep of the Messenger of Allah. Then he did not enter a state of Ihram." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2788)

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ غَنَمًا ثُمَّ لَا يَحْرُمُ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ

[AI] "I used to string the necklaces of the gifts of the Prophet ﷺ, then he would send them and not leave anything that he used to make before that."

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَا وَلَا يَدَعُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ

[AI] I used to string the necklaces as a gift for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then he would send it to someone else and keep it. So, nothing would be saved from it.

لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِهِ وَيُقِيمُ فَمَا يَتَّقِي مِنْ شَيْءٍ

"I sued to twist the garlands of the sacrificial sheep of the Messenger of Allah. Then he did not enter a state of Ihram." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2788)

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ غَنَمًا ثُمَّ لَا يُحْرِمُ

[AI] I used to untangle the necklaces of gifts for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he would distribute them and not forbid anything.

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ الْهَدْيِ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَيَبْعَثُ بِهَا وَمَا يُحْرِمُ

"I used to twist the garlands of the Hadi of the Messenger of Allah, then he would garland his Hadi, then sent it, they stay (with his family) and not avoid anything that the Muhrim avoids." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2778)

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْغَنَمِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِهَا وَمَا يُحْرِمُ

[AI] I used to untie the necklaces of the gifts of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, then he would send them and give them as presents, and he would guard against anything evil.

لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِهِ وَيُقِيمُ فَمَا يَتَّقِي مِنْ شَيْءٍ

[AI] I used to thread beads of the gifts of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and then he would wear them and send them.

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَيُقَلِّدُهَا ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِهَا

[AI] I used to untangle the strands of the Prophet's gifts and he would not need his wife until the Hajj is completed.

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَا يَدَعُ حَاجَةً لَهُ إِلَى امْرَأَتِهِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ الْحَاجُّ

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ثُمَّيَبْعَثُ بِهَا فَمَا يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُ الْمُحْرِمُ

[AI] I used to comb the necklaces as a gift for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , then he would stay. She said, "And he used to give gifts of sheep."

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ الْقَلَائِدَ لِهَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ يَمْكُثُ قَالَتْ وَكَانَ يُهْدِي الْغَنَمَ

[AI] It is as if I see myself untangling the pearls of the Prophet's gifts from the sheep, and then not holding onto anything.

كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيَّ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْغَنَمِ ثُمَّ لَا يُمْسِكُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَهْدِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِهِ ثُمَّ لَا يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُ الْمُحْرِمُ»

[AI] She said, "If I were to untie the gifts of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he guides, then gives gifts, and he is staying with us in Madinah, it is not forbidden nor does he avoid anything that the forbidden person avoids."

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ «إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَهْدِي ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ بِالْهَدْيِ وَهُوَ مُقِيمٌ عِنْدَنَا بِالْمَدِينَةِ ثُمَّ لَا يُحْرِمُ وَلَا يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ»
