[Machine] The Messenger of Allah used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, why do you fast on Mondays and Thursdays?" He replied, "Verily, actions are presented on Mondays and Thursdays before Allah."  

أحمد:٢١٧٨١ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي الدَّسْتُوَائِيَّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ أَنَّ مَوْلَى قُدَامَةَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ مَوْلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ كَانَ يَخْرُجُ فِي مَالٍ لَهُ بِوَادِي الْقُرَى فَيَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ لِمَ تَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَقَدْ كَبِرْتَ وَرَقَقْتَ؟ فَقَالَ

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لِمَ تَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ؟ قَالَ إِنَّ الْأَعْمَالَ تُعْرَضُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ

darimi:1791 – And Hb b. Jarīr > Hishām > Yaḥyá > ʿUmar b. al-Ḥakam b. Thawbān > a freed slave of Qudāmah b. Maẓʿūn > a freed slave of Usāmah

[Machine] He said, "Usama used to ride to his wealth in the Valley of Al-Qura. He used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays while on the journey. So, I said to him, 'Why do you fast on Mondays and Thursdays while traveling, considering your old age and the weakness or softness of your body?' He replied, 'Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays, and he said, 'Verily, the deeds are presented [to Allah] on Mondays and Thursdays."'  

الدارمي:١٧٩١ – حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ أَنَّ مَوْلَى قُدَامَةَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ مَوْلَى أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَهُ

قَالَ كَانَ أُسَامَةُ يَرْكَبُ إِلَى مَالٍ لَهُ بِوَادِي الْقُرَى فَيَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ لِمَ تَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ فِي السَّفَرِ وَقَدْ كَبِرْتَ وَضَعُفْتَ أَوْ رَقِقْتَ ؟ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ وَقَالَ «إِنَّ أَعْمَالَ النَّاسِ تُعْرَضُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays, so I asked him about it and he said, "Deeds are presented to Allah on Mondays and Thursdays."

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fasting on Monday and Thursday, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you fast on Monday and Thursday?" He said, "Indeed, on these days, the actions are presented (to Allah), and thus I love that my actions be presented when I am in a state of fasting."  

البيهقي:٨٤٣٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ مَوْلَى قُدَامَةَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ مَوْلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ ؓ كَانَ يَرْكَبُ إِلَى مَالٍ لَهُ بِوَادِي الْقُرَى وَكَانَ يَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنَ وَالْخَمِيسَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَتَصُومُ وَقَدْ كَبِرْتَ وَرَقَقْتَ؟ فَقَالَ
