ahmad:12338 – Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar And Muḥammad b. Bakr > Saʿīd > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited a man from drinking while standing. We asked Anas, "What about food?" He replied, "That is even more improper or dirtier." Ibn Bakr said, "Or filthier."  

أحمد:١٢٣٣٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا قَالَ فَقُلْنَا لِأَنَسٍ فَالطَّعَامُ؟ قَالَ ذَلِكَ أَشَدُّ أَوْ أَنْتَنُ قَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ أَوْ أَخْبَثُ

that Allah's Apostle ( ﷺ) forbade that a person should drink while standing. Qatada reported: We said to him: What about eating? Thereupon he (Anas) said: That is even worse and more detestable (abominable).  

مسلم:٢٠٢٤b – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا قَالَ قَتَادَةُ فَقُلْنَا فَالأَكْلُ فَقَالَ ذَاكَ أَشَرُّ أَوْ أَخْبَثُ

from the Prophet ﷺ that he forbade that a person drinks while standing.  

الطبراني:٢١٢٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الطَّالْقَانِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ وَالْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ قَالَا ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَا ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الْجَذْمِيِّ عَنِ الْجَارُودِ بْنِ الْمُعَلَّى

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا
