ahmad:11203Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Mālik > Ayyūb b. Ḥabīb

[Machine] Abu al-Muthanna said: I was with Marwan when Abu Sa'eed entered and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid blowing into drinks." Marwan replied, "Yes." Then a man said, "I do not drink from the same breath." Marwan told him, "Blow away from it, then drink." The man said, "I see impurities in it." Marwan said, "Then spill it."  

أحمد:١١٢٠٣حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَيُّوبُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ

عَنْ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى قَالَكُنْتُ عِنْدَ مَرْوَانَ فَدَخَلَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّفْخِ فِي الشَّرَابِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ إِنِّي لَا أُرْوَى مِنْ نَفَسٍ وَاحِدٍ قَالَ أَبِنْهُ عَنْكَ ثُمَّ تَنَفَّسْ قَالَ أَرَى فِيهِ الْقَذَاةَ قَالَ فَأَهْرِقْهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ayyub ibn Habib, the mawla of Sad ibn Abi Waqqas that Abu'l-Muthanna al-Juhani said, "I was with Marwan ibn al-Hakam and Abu Said al-Khudri came to him. Marwan ibn al- Hakam said to him, 'Have you heard that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade blowing into drinks?' Abu Said said to him, 'Yes.' A man said to him, 'Messenger of Allah, I am not quenched from one breath.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'Remove the cup from your mouth and then breathe.' He said, 'Sometimes I see something floating in it?' He said, 'Then pour it out.'"  

مالك:٤٩-١٢وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ مَوْلَى سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى الْجُهَنِيِّ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَرْوَانُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ أَسَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ النَّفْخِ فِي الشَّرَابِ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لاَ أَرْوَى مِنْ نَفَسٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَبِنِ الْقَدَحَ عَنْ فِيكَ ثُمَّ تَنَفَّسْ قَالَ فَإِنِّي أَرَى الْقَذَاةَ فِيهِ قَالَ فَأَهْرِقْهَا

[Machine] Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibiting blowing into drinks? He said, "Yes." A man said, "I do not feel satisfied, O Messenger of Allah, with just one breath." He said, "Then take out the container and then blow." The man said, "But I see dirt in it." He said, "Then pour it out."  

أحمد:١١٥٤١حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الْمُثَنَّى يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ مَرْوَانَ يَسْأَلُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ

[Machine] Did you hear the Prophet ﷺ forbidding blowing into drinks? He said: Yes, he said: "Then do not drink with a single breath, instead, drink in two breaths." He said: "What if I see something filthy?" He said: "Spit it out."

[Machine] "I was with Marwan when Abu Sa'id came and said, 'A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I feel suffocated from a single breath."' He said, 'Leave the vessel from your mouth and then breathe.' He said, 'I see phlegm.' He said, 'Spit it out.'"  

الدارمي:٢١٦٧أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ مَرْوَانَ فَجَاءَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَقَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَا أَرْوَى مِنْ نَفَسٍ وَاحِدٍ قَالَ «فَأَبِنِ الْإِنَاءَ عَنْ فِيكَ ثُمَّ تَنَفَّسْ» قَالَ إِنِّي أَرَى الْقَذَاةَ قَالَ «أَهْرِقْهُ»

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated that he read from Malik, from Ayub ibn Habib, a freed slave of Banu Zuhrah, from Abu Al-Muthanna Al-Juhani who said, "I was sitting with Marwan ibn Al-Hakam when Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri entered. Marwan said to him, 'Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibit blowing into a drink?' He replied, 'Yes.' Then a man said, 'I only quench my thirst with one breath.' Abu Sa'id said, 'Pour the water into the cup and then breathe.' The man asked, 'But what if I see dirt in it?' He replied, 'Pour it out.'"  

الحاكم:٧٢٠٨أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْبَرْتِيُّ قَالَا

ثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ فِيمَا قَرَأَ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي زُهْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ فَدَخَلَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَرْوَانُ «سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّفْخِ فِي الشَّرَابِ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ إِنِّي لَا أَرْتَوِي بِنَفَسٍ وَاحِدٍ قَالَ «أَمِطْ الْإِنَاءَ عَنْ فِيكَ ثُمَّ تَنَفَّسْ» قَالَ فَإِنْ رَأَيْتُ قَذًى؟ قَالَ «أَهْرِقْهُ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح

ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنِ النَّفْخِ فِي الشَّرَابِ لِمَنْ أَرَادَ الشُّرْبَ

[Machine] Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid blowing in drinks? Abu Sa'id replied, "Yes." A man said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, I cannot quench my thirst with just one breath." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then remove the cup from your mouth and take a breath." The man said, "But I see spit in it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then pour it out."  

ابن حبّان:٥٣٢٧أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ مَوْلَى سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَرْوَانُ
