adab:751 – Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "There are four dinars:

a dinar which you give to a poor person, a dinar you give to free a slave, a dinar you spend in the Way of Allah, and a dinar which you spend on your family. The best of them is the dinar which you spend on your family."

الأدب المفرد:٧٥١ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُزَاحِمِ بْنِ زُفَرَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَرْبَعَةُ دَنَانِيرَ دِينَارًا أَعْطَيْتَهُ مِسْكِينًا وَدِينَارًا أَعْطَيْتَهُ فِي رَقَبَةٍ وَدِينَارًا أَنْفَقْتَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَدِينَارًا أَنْفَقْتَهُ عَلَى أَهْلِكَ أَفْضَلُهَا الَّذِي أَنْفَقْتَهُ عَلَى أَهْلِكَ

Of the dinar you spend as a contribution in Allah's path, or to set free a slave, or as a sadaqa given to a needy, or to support your family, the one yielding the greatest reward is that which you spent on your family.
