A man made his wife like the back of his mother. He then had intercourse with her before he atoned for it. He came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of this matter. He asked (him): What moved you to the action you have committed? He replied: I saw the whiteness of her shins in moon light. He said: Keep away from her until you expiate for your deed.

أَنَّ رَجُلاً ظَاهَرَ مِنَ امْرَأَتِهِ ثُمَّ وَاقَعَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى مَا صَنَعْتَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ سَاقَيْهَا فِي الْقَمَرِ قَالَ فَاعْتَزِلْهَا حَتَّى تُكَفِّرَ عَنْكَ

a man declared Zihar upon his wife, then he had intercourse with her before offering expiation. He came to the Prophet ﷺ and told him about that. He said: "What made you do that?" He said: "I saw her ankles in the moonlight, and I could not control myself, and I had intercourse with her." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled and told him not to go near her until he had offered expiation.

أَنَّ رَجُلاً ظَاهَرَ مِنِ امْرَأَتِهِ فَغَشِيَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ حِجْلَيْهَا فِي الْقَمَرِ فَلَمْ أَمْلِكْ نَفْسِي أَنْ وَقَعْتُ عَلَيْهَا فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَمَرَهُ أَلاَّ يَقْرَبَهَا حَتَّى يُكَفِّرَ

[AI] That "he pretended with his wife and fell on her before he could expiate, so the Prophet ﷺ ordered him to perform one kaffarah."

أَنَّهُ «تَظَاهَرَ مِنِ امْرَأَتِهِ فَوَقَعَ عَلَيْهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِكَفَّارَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ»

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I had an intimate relation with my wife before I made ghusl (ritual purification)." The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What made you do that?" He replied, "I saw her thigh in the moonlight and could not resist." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Leave her until you have performed ghusl."

أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي ظَاهَرْتُ مِنَ امْرَأَتِي وقَرَبْتُها قَبْلَ أَنْ أُكَفِّرَ قَالَ «وَمَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ؟» قَالَ رَأَيْتُ سَاقَهَا فِي الْقَمَرِ فَأَصَبْتُهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اعْتَزِلْهَا حَتَّى تُكَفِّرَ»

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, it appears to be from his wife and then he covers her before fulfilling his obligations towards her. He said, 'What caused you to do that?' He said, 'I saw the whiteness of her leg in the moonlight.' He said, 'Separate yourself from her until you fulfill your obligations.'"

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُ ظَاهَرَ مِنَ امْرَأَتِهِ ثُمَّ غَشِيَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقْضِي مَا عَلَيْهِ قَالَ «مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ؟» قَالَ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ سَاقِهَا فِي الْقَمَرِ قَالَ «فَاعْتَزِلْهَا حَتَّى تَقْضِيَ مَا عَلَيْكَ» اللَّفْظُ لِإِسْحَاقَ

"عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ: أَنَّ رجُلًا ظَاهرَ مِنَ امْرَأَتِهِ فَأَصَابَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُكَفِّر فَأمَرَهُ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ بِكَفَّارَة واحدةٍ".
