That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him sheep to distribute among his Companions as a sacrifice. "There remained a young male kid or a young billy goat, so I mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said: 'Sacrifice it for yourself.'" Waki' said: "The Jadha' among sheep is seven or six months."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَعْطَاهُ غَنَمًا يَقْسِمُهَا عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ ضَحَايَا فَبَقِيَ عَتُودٌ أَوْ جَدْىٌ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ ضَحِّ بِهِ أَنْتَ
that the Prophet ﷺ had given him sheep to distribute among his companions and a male kid was left (after the distribution). When he informed the Prophet ﷺ of it, he said (to him), "Offer it as a sacrifice on your behalf."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَعْطَاهُ غَنَمًا يَقْسِمُهَا عَلَى صَحَابَتِهِ فَبَقِيَ عَتُودٌ فَذَكَرَهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: «ضَحِّ بِهِ أَنْتَ۔»
that Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him some sheep to distribute among his companions in order to sacrifice them and a kid was left. He told the Prophet ﷺ about it and the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Sacrifice it on your behalf."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَعْطَاهُ غَنَمًا يَقْسِمُهَا عَلَى صَحَابَتِهِ ضَحَايَا فَبَقِيَ عَتُودٌ فَذَكَرَهُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ ضَحِّ بِهِ أَنْتَ
that the Prophet ﷺ gave him some sheep to distribute among his companions to slaughter as sacrifices (ʿId--al--Adha). A kid goat was left and he told the Prophet ﷺ of that whereupon he said to him, "Slaughter it as a sacrifice (on your behalf).

the Messenger of Allah gave him some sheep to distribute among his Companions. A small goat was left over and he mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah. He said: "Sacrifice it yourself."
