[Machine] "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and in front of him there were dates and bread. He said, 'Come closer and eat.' So, I took some dates to eat, and he said, 'Are you eating dates while having a mouth sore?' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, should I suck it from the other side?' So, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled."  

الطبراني:٧٣٠٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْفٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ صَيْفِيٍّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ وَلَدِ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ صُهَيْبًا قَالَ

قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ تَمْرٌ وَخُبْزٌ فَقَالَ «ادْنُ فَكُلْ» فَأَخَذْتُ آكُلُ مِنَ التَّمْرِ فَقَالَ «أَتَأْكُلُ تَمْرًا وَبِكَ رَمَدٌ؟» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَمُصُّهُ مِنَ النَّاحِيَةِ الْأُخْرَى فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

قَدِمْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ خُبْزٌ وَتَمْرٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ادْنُ فَكُلْ فَأَخَذْتُ آكُلُ مِنَ التَّمْرِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ تَأْكُلُ تَمْرًا وَبِكَ رَمَدٌ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي أَمْضُغُ مِنْ نَاحِيَةٍ أُخْرَى فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ  

ahmad:16591 – Abū al-Naḍr > ʿAbdullāh b. al-Mubārak

[Machine] Indeed, Suhaib came to the Prophet ﷺ with dates and bread in front of him. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Approach and eat." Suhaib began to eat from the dates. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "You have a cataract in your eye." Suhaib said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am only eating from the other side." The Prophet ﷺ then smiled.  

أحمد:١٦٥٩١ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ صَيْفِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

إِنَّ صُهَيْبًا قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ تَمْرٌ وَخُبْزٌ فَقَالَ ادْنُ فَكُلْ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ يَأْكُلُ مِنَ التَّمْرِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنَّ بِعَيْنِكَ رَمَدًا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّمَا آكُلُ مِنَ النَّاحِيَةِ الْأُخْرَى قَالَ فَتَبَسَّمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ

[Machine] Indeed, Suhaib came to the Prophet ﷺ with dates and bread in front of him. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Come forward and eat." So Suhaib started eating from the dates. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "You have an eye disease." Suhaib replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I am only eating from the other side (not the side with the eye disease)." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled.  

أحمد:٢٣١٨٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ صَيْفِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِعَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

الحاكم:٨٢٦٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ السَّيَّارِيُّ بِمَرْوَ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُوَجَّهِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدَانُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ صَيْفِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ صُهَيْبًا قَالَ

قَدِمْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ تَمْرٌ وَخُبْزٌ فَقَالَ «ادْنُ فَكُلْ» فَأَخَذْتُ آكُلُ مِنَ التَّمْرِ فَقَالَ «تَأْكُلُ تَمْرًا وَبِكَ رَمَدٌ؟» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَمْضُغُ مِنَ النَّاحِيَةِ الْأُخْرَى فَتَبَسَّمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ
