[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ as an immigrant, and there were dates in front of him. He said, "Come and eat." So I started eating the dates. He asked, "Are you eating the dates and have you got a disease called Ramad?" I said, "No, I am chewing it from the other side." Then, the Prophet ﷺ smiled.  

البيهقي:١٩٥٦٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَامِدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي خَلَفِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الصُّوفِيُّ الْإِسْفِرَايِينِيُّ بِهَا ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزْدَادَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أنبأ سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَ

قَدِمْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مُهَاجِرًا وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ التَّمْرُ فَقَالَ تَعَالَ كُلْ قَالَ فَجَعَلْتُ آكُلُ التَّمْرَ قَالَ تَأْكُلُ التَّمْرَ وَبِكَ رَمَدٌ؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ إِنِّي أَمْضُغُهُ مِنْ نَاحِيَةٍ أُخْرَى قَالَ فَتَبَسَّمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ

قَدِمْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ خُبْزٌ وَتَمْرٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ادْنُ فَكُلْ فَأَخَذْتُ آكُلُ مِنَ التَّمْرِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ تَأْكُلُ تَمْرًا وَبِكَ رَمَدٌ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي أَمْضُغُ مِنْ نَاحِيَةٍ أُخْرَى فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

"عَنْ صُهيْب قَالَ: قَدمْتُ عَلَى النَّبىِّ ﷺ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْه تَمْرٌ وَخُبْزٌ، فَقَالَ: ادْنُ فَكُلْ، فَأخَذْتُ تَمْرًا فَأكَلْتهُ، فَقالَ: تأكُلُ تَمْرًا وَبكَ رَمَدٌ؟ قُلتُ: يَا رَسُولَ الله إِنَّما أمْضُغُ بنَاحيةٍ أخْرَى، فَتَبَسَّمَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ ".
