[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prayed over Ibn Dahdah while we were present. Then he brought a horse, tamed it, and jumped on it. While we were surrounding him, he started taming it. A man who was with Jabir ibn Samurah said: "Indeed, the Prophet, ﷺ , said, 'How many delicious dates for Ibn Dahdah are suspended in Jannah.'"  

الطبراني:١٨٩٩حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثنا أَبِي قَالَا ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ وَنَحْنُ شُهُودٌ ثُمَّ أَتَى بِفَرَسٍ فَعَقَلَ حَتَّى رَكِبَهُ فَجَعَلَ يَتَوَقَّصُ بِهِ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى حَوْلَهُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «كَمْ مِنْ عِذْقٍ لِابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ مُعَلَّقٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»

then an unsaddled horse was brought to him and a person hobbled it, and he (the Messenger of Allah) rode upon it and it bounded and we followed it and ran after it. One of the people said that the Prophet ﷺ remarked: How many among hanging bunches in the Paradise are meant for Ibn Dahdah?

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِفَرَسٍ عُرْىٍ فَعَقَلَهُ رَجُلٌ فَرَكِبَهُ فَجَعَلَ يَتَوَقَّصُ بِهِ وَنَحْنُ نَتَّبِعُهُ نَسْعَى خَلْفَهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ كَمْ مِنْ عِذْقٍ مُعَلَّقٍ أَوْ مُدَلًّى فِي الْجَنَّةِ لاِبْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ أَوْ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ لأَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ

The Prophet ﷺ offered funeral prayer over Ibn al-Dahdah while we were present. He was then brought a horse, and it was tied until he rode it. It then began to gallop and we were running around it.

صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ وَنَحْنُ شُهُودٌ ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِفَرَسٍ فَعُقِلَ حَتَّى رَكِبَهُ فَجَعَلَ يَتَوَقَّصُ بِهِ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى حَوْلَهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for the son of Al-Dahdah and Hajjaj mentioned him. Then, a horse with a taut rein was brought and a man from the people managed it and he began trotting with it, with us following behind him. A man from the people said that the Prophet ﷺ said, "How many ripe dates are there hanging or laid flat in Paradise for the son of Al-Dahdah?" Hajjaj said in his narration, a man among us was with Jabir bin Samurah in a gathering, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "How many ripe dates are laid flat for the son of Al-Dahdah in Paradise?"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for the son of Al-Dahdah, he said: "Hajjaj, the father of Al-Dahdah, performed Hajj and then he brought a young, unsaddle horse, a man approached it and rode it. Then, he began to make it trot and we followed him, running behind him. A man from the people said: 'The Prophet ﷺ said: "How many outstanding mules or camels are there in Paradise for the son of Al-Dahdah?"' Hajjaj commented on his narration, a man among us with Jabir bin Samurah in the gathering said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "How many splendid mules are there in Paradise for Al-Dahdah?"'

ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُدْحِضِ قَوْلَ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ سِمَاكَ بْنَ حَرْبٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ مِنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ prayed upon Abu Duhdah while we were present. The Prophet ﷺ was brought a horse and he rode it while we crowded around him. He said ﷺ, 'How many delights are there for Abu Duhdah hanging in Paradise!'"  

ابن حبّان:٧١٥٨أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَطَّارُ بِالْبَصْرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ
