ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُدْحِضِ قَوْلَ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ سِمَاكَ بْنَ حَرْبٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ مِنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ

ibnhibban:7158 – Sulaymān b. al-Ḥasan al-ʿAṭṭār Bi-al-Baṣrah > ʿUbaydullāh b. Muʿādh b. Muʿādh from my father > Shuʿbah > Simāk > Jābir b. Samurah

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ prayed upon Abu Duhdah while we were present. The Prophet ﷺ was brought a horse and he rode it while we crowded around him. He said ﷺ, 'How many delights are there for Abu Duhdah hanging in Paradise!'"  

ابن حبّان:٧١٥٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَطَّارُ بِالْبَصْرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى أَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ وَنَحْنُ شُهُودٌ فَأُتِيَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِفَرَسٍ فَرَكِبَهُ فَجَعَلَ يَتَوَقَّصُ بِهِ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى حَوْلَهُ فَقَالَ ﷺ «كَمْ مِنْ عِذْقٍ لِأَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ مُعَلَّقٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»

The Prophet ﷺ offered funeral prayer over Ibn al-Dahdah while we were present. He was then brought a horse, and it was tied until he rode it. It then began to gallop and we were running around it.  

أبو داود:٣١٧٨ – حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ وَنَحْنُ شُهُودٌ ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِفَرَسٍ فَعُقِلَ حَتَّى رَكِبَهُ فَجَعَلَ يَتَوَقَّصُ بِهِ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى حَوْلَهُ

[Machine] We were with the Prophet ﷺ at the funeral of Abu Dahdah. After he prayed upon him, a horse was brought and he rode it while we were running behind him. He ﷺ said, "How many splendid gardens (or rides) for Abu Dahdah in Paradise!"  

ابن حبّان:٧١٥٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي جَنَازَةِ أَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا أُتِيَ بِفَرَسٍ فَرَكِبَهُ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى خَلْفَهُ فَقَالَ ﷺ «كَمْ مِنْ عِذْقٍ مُدَلًّى لِأَبِي الدَّحْدَاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prayed over Ibn Dahdah while we were present. Then he brought a horse, tamed it, and jumped on it. While we were surrounding him, he started taming it. A man who was with Jabir ibn Samurah said: "Indeed, the Prophet, ﷺ , said, 'How many delicious dates for Ibn Dahdah are suspended in Jannah.'"  

الطبراني:١٨٩٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثنا أَبِي قَالَا ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ وَنَحْنُ شُهُودٌ ثُمَّ أَتَى بِفَرَسٍ فَعَقَلَ حَتَّى رَكِبَهُ فَجَعَلَ يَتَوَقَّصُ بِهِ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى حَوْلَهُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «كَمْ مِنْ عِذْقٍ لِابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ مُعَلَّقٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»
