[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ was lashed with a bunch of palm leaves and sandals forty times."  

الطبراني:١٥٥٤٥ – حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ جَلَدَ فِي الْخَمْرِ بِالْجَرِيدِ وَالنِّعَالِ أَرْبَعِينَ»

The Prophet ﷺ lashed a drunk with dateleaf stalks and shoes. And Abu Bakr gave a drunk forty lashes.

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to beat (offenders) for drinking wine with sandals and date-palm stalks.”

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَضْرِبُ فِي الْخَمْرِ بِالنِّعَالِ وَالْجَرِيدِ
