طَاوُسُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ

tabarani:13936 – Mūsá b. Hārūn > Isḥāq b. Rāhawayh > al-Faḍl b. Mūsá al-Sīnānī > Maʿmar > Ibn Ṭāwus from his father > Ibn al-Zubayr

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever unsheathes his sword and then puts it back without using it, the blood it shed will be wasted." He means that by not using it, it is as if he struck with it.

الطبراني:١٣٩٣٦ – حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى السِّينَانِيُّ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَهَرَ سَيْفَهُ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُ فَدَمُهُ هَدَرٌ» يَعْنِي وَضَعَهُ ضَرَبَ بِهِ
