"مَنْ شَهَرَ سَيفَهُ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُ فَدَمُهُ هَدْرٌ".
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever unsheathes his sword and starts to strike the people with it, it is permissible to shed his blood."
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ شَهَرَ سَيْفَهُ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُ فَدَمُهُ هَدَرٌ
"Whoever wields a weapon and starts to strike (the people) with it, it is permissible to shed his blood."
مَنْ رَفَعَ السِّلاَحَ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُ فَدَمُهُ هَدَرٌ
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever unsheathes his sword and starts to strike the people with it, it is permissible to shed his blood." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4097)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَهَرَ سَيْفَهُ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُ فَدَمُهُ هَدَرٌ»
طَاوُسُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever unsheathes his sword and then puts it back without using it, the blood it shed will be wasted." He means that by not using it, it is as if he struck with it.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَهَرَ سَيْفَهُ ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُ فَدَمُهُ هَدَرٌ» يَعْنِي وَضَعَهُ ضَرَبَ بِهِ
"Whoever wields a weapon and starts to strike (the people) with it, it is permissible to shed his blood." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4099)
