19.3 Ibn Masud ᴿᴬ
[Machine] "Peace, mercy, and welcome to you, Abu Abdurrahman! Please provide him with a cushion," Ibn Umar said. If I had not heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'Three things cannot be turned away from: milk, cushions, and fat. As long as they are sat upon,' I would not have allowed it."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, your lifespan is only between the afternoon prayer and the sunset."
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , who said, "Every one entrusted with something is responsible for what he is entrusted with, to the extent that a man will be asked about his wife, his servant, and his child."
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ prohibited selling fruits until they are fully ripe." Ibn Suraqah asked, "When is that, O Abu Abdur Rahman?" He replied, "When the Pleiades rise."
[Machine] Ibn Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say that."
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ regarding misguidance, he used to say, "O Allah, the One who returns misguidance and guides those who are astray. Guide me from my astrayness by Your power and authority, for it is from Your gifts and favors."
[Machine] The Prophet صَلَّىٰ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said, "Iblis entered Iraq and achieved his goal, then he entered Syria and was expelled from it, then he entered Egypt and caused turmoil and spread mischief."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us while we were praying after Fajr prayer and he said, "There is no prayer after Fajr except for two units (Raka'at)."
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The izar (lower garment) of the believer should come to the middle of his calves and it is not a sin for it to come between that and the ankles. And whoever drags his garment out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him.'"
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, the likeness of a believer is like that of a palm tree, it does not shed its leaves."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying in his supplication when he wakes up in the morning and when he goes to sleep at night, he never left it until he departed from this world and until he died: "O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religion, worldly life, family, and wealth. O Allah, cover my flaws and protect me from fears. O Allah, protect me from in front of me, behind me, on my right, on my left, from above me. And I seek refuge in You from being harmed from beneath me." Jubair said, "And it is the occurrence of sinking." So I do not know if this is the statement of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , or the statement of Jubair.
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told them: "One of the slaves of Allah said: 'Ya Rabb! Lakal-hamdu kama yanbagi li-jalali Wajhika wa li 'azima sultanika (O Lord, to You is praise as befits the Glory of Your Face and the greatness of Your Might.)' The angels were uncertain and did not know how to write this down, so they ascended to heaven and said: 'O our Lord, Your slave has said a word that we do not know how to write down.' Allah said - and He knows best what His slave said - 'What did My slave say?' They said: 'O Lord, he said "Ya Rabb! Lakal-hamdu kama yanbagi li-jalali Wajhika wa li'azima sultanika (O Lord, to You is praise as befits the Glory of Your Face and the greatness of your Might).'" Allah said to them: 'Write it down as My slave said it, until he meets Me and I shall reward him for it.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3801)
[Machine] We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman, and then we fell silent.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Al-Kawthar is a river in Paradise."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I saw Jesus, son of Mary, wearing a woolen cloak and circling the Kaaba." They asked, "Who does he resemble?" He said, "He looks like 'Urwa ibn Mas'ud al-Thaqafi." "And I saw Moses, son of Imran, as a well-built man among the people as if he was one of the men of Shanu'ah, and I saw the Dajjal." We asked, "Who does he resemble, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Abdul-Uzza ibn Qatan Al-Mustalaqi."
[Machine] "I did not decide upon you, except that you vanished and I settled the matter." He said, "Do not hurry, have you heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever seeks refuge with Allah, he has sought refuge with a strong refuge?' " He said, "Yes." He said, "Then I seek refuge with Allah that I become a judge." He said, "What prevents you, and your father used to judge?" He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever is a judge and judges by ignorance, he is one of the people of hellfire. And whoever is a judge and judges with knowledge, truthfully and justly, he will have two rewards.' So what do I hope for after this?" Abu Al-Qasim Abdullah bin Wahb said, "This is Abdullah bin Wahb bin Zam'ah and Allah knows best."

Saeed said: When I feared dawn, I stopped and performed the Witr prayer." Abdullah said: "Is there not a good example in the Messenger of Allah?" I said: "Yes." He said: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the Witr prayer on a camel."

[Machine] I divorced my wife while she was menstruating, and Umar mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he said, "Tell him to take her back."
[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated from Malik, from Qatan ibn Wahb, that Yunis, the slave of Zubayr, informed him that he was sitting with Abdullah ibn Umar during a time of turmoil, when a woman who was a slave of his came to greet him. She said, "O Abu Abdurrahman, I intended to go out, but the situation has become severe for us." Abdullah ibn Umar said to her, "Stay where you are, because I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'No one endures the hardships and difficulties of this world except that they will have an intercessor or a witness for them on the Day of Judgment.'"
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever fasts on Wednesday and Thursday, and then gives charity on Friday with what little he has, all his sins will be forgiven, even if they were as many as the foam of the sea, until he is as pure as the day his mother gave birth to him from any sins."
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "An angel descended upon me from the sky, no angel had descended upon a prophet before me nor will any angel descend upon a prophet after me. This angel is Israfil and with him is Gabriel. The angel greeted me and said, 'Peace be upon you, O Muhammad.' Then he said, 'I am the messenger of your Lord to you. He has commanded me to inform you that if you wish, you can be a prophet as a servant, and if you wish, you can be a prophet as an angel.' I looked at Gabriel and he gestured to me to be humble. At that moment, the Prophet ﷺ said, 'I will be a prophet as a servant.' And the Prophet ﷺ said, 'If I had said, 'A prophet as an angel' and wished for it, the mountains would have turned into gold with me.'"
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, this world is less significant to Allah than this cup to its owner. If this world were to be equal in the sight of Allah to the weight of a mustard seed, He would not have given a disbeliever even a sip of water from it."
[Machine] I heard the Prophet (PBUH) say, "Whoever says, 'There is no god but Allah, alone without partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise. He is the Ever-Living, who does not die. In His hand is all good, and He has power over all things,' intending thereby the face of Allah, Allah will admit him into the gardens of bliss."

[Machine] Regarding the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he used to say "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the greatest) every time he raised his hands and every time he placed them in the bowing and prostration positions. And when he finished, he said "As-Salamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi" (peace and mercy of Allah be upon you) twice, first to his right and then to his left.
[Machine] I said to Ibn Umar, "I saw you wearing these Saturday slippers." He said, "Indeed, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wearing them and performing ablution in them."

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited this verse while on the pulpit: "{And they have not appraised Allah with true appraisal.} until the end of the verse." Then, the pulpit said, "Like this and like this," indicating that the pulpit shook.
