[Machine] Ibn Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say that."

الطبراني:١٣٢٨٨ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ أَنَّ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ أَنَّ عَوْنَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ قَالَ صَلَّى رَجُلٌ إِلَى جَنْبِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ فَسَمِعَهُ حِينَ سَلَّمَ يَقُولُ «§أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ» ثُمَّ صَلَّى إِلَى جَنْبِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فَسَمِعَهُ حِينَ سَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ فَضَحِكَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ مَا أَضْحَكَكَ؟ فَقَالَ إِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مِثْلَ مَا قُلْتَ فَقَالَ

ابْنُ عُمَرَ «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ»

أحمد:١٤١٦٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ أَوْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَا أَشُكُّ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ الضَّبُعِ فَقَالَ حَلَالٌ فَقُلْتُ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُدْحِضِ قَوْلَ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ

«صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

“Zaid bin Arqan used to say the Takbir four times in the funeral prayer, and he said the Takbir five times for one funeral. I asked him (about that) and he said: ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do that.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1505)

الطبراني:٤٩٧٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ «§صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهَا أَرْبَعًا ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَهُ عَلَى أُخْرَى فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهَا خَمْسًا» فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُكَبِّرُهَا»
