Abu Hurayra said, "The Prophet ﷺ was asked, 'Messenger of Allah! A certain woman prays in the night, fasts in the day, acts and gives sadaqa, but injures her neighbours with her tongue.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There is no good in her. She is one of the people of the Fire.' They said, 'Another woman prays the prescribed prayers and gives bits of curd as sadaqa and does not injure anyone.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'She is one of the people of the Garden.'"

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ فُلاَنَةً تَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ وَتَصُومُ النَّهَارَ وَتَفْعَلُ وَتَصَّدَّقُ وَتُؤْذِي جِيرَانَهَا بِلِسَانِهَا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لاَ خَيْرَ فِيهَا هِيَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ قَالُوا وَفُلاَنَةٌ تُصَلِّي الْمَكْتُوبَةَ وَتَصَّدَّقُ بِأَثْوَارٍ وَلاَ تُؤْذِي أَحَدًا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هِيَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ

a man said: "O Messenger of Allah, there is someone who is mentioned regarding her performing a lot of Ṣalāh, ˹keeping a lot of˺ of fasts, and giving ˹a lot˺ of charity, except that she harms her neighbors with her tongue." He, ˹the Messenger of Allah ﷺ,˺ said, "She is in the Hellfire." ˹The man˺ said, "O Messenger of Allah, ˹and˺ there is someone who is mentioned regarding her not performing much Ṣalāh, ˹and not keeping many˺ of fasts, and not giving ˹much˺ of charity, however, she gives the milk curds of her oxens as charity, and she does not harm her neighbors with her tongue." He, ˹the Messenger of Allah ﷺ,˺ said, "She is in Jannah."

رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ فُلَانَةَ يُذْكَرُ مِنْ كَثْرَةِ صَلَاتِهَا وَصِيَامِهَا وَصَدَقَتِهَا غَيْرَ أَنَّهَا تُؤْذِي جِيرَانَهَا بِلِسَانِهَا۔ قَالَ: «هِيَ فِي النَّارِ۔» قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَإِنَّ فُلَانَةَ يُذْكَرُ مِنْ قِلَّةِ صِيَامِهَا وَصَدَقَتِهَا وَصَلَاتِهَا وَإِنَّهَا تَصَدَّقُ بِالْأَثْوَارِ مِنَ الْأَقِطِ وَلَا تُؤْذِي جِيرَانَهَا بِلِسَانِهَا۔ قَالَ «هِيَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ۔»

[AI] "I heard Abu Huraira saying, it was said to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, that so and so prays at night, fasts during the day, but she speaks harshly towards her neighbors, causing harm. He said, 'There is no good in her, she is in the Fire.' It was also said to him that so and so performs the obligatory prayers, fasts during Ramadan, and gives charity, and she does not harm anyone else. He said, 'She is in Paradise.'"

[AI] On the authority of Abu Yahya, the slave of Ja'dah bint Hubayrah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said: It was said to the Prophet ﷺ : Indeed, so-and-so fasts during the day and stands in night prayer, but she harms her neighbors with her tongue. It was then said: But so-and-so performs the obligatory prayers, fasts in Ramadan, and gives charity from lawful earnings, and she does not harm anyone with her tongue. عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى مَوْلَى جَعْدَةَ بِنْتِ هُبَيْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنَّ فُلَانَةَ تَصُومُ النَّهَارَ وَتَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ وَتُؤْذِي جِيرَانَهَا بِلِسَانِهَا فَقَالَ «لَا خَيْرَ فِيهَا هِيَ فِي النَّارِ» قِيلَ فَإِنَّ فُلَانَةَ تُصَلِّي الْمَكْتُوبَةَ وَتَصُومُ رَمَضَانَ وَتَتَصَدَّقُ بِأَثْوَارٍ مِنْ أَقِطٍ وَلَا تُؤْذِي أَحَدًا بِلِسَانِهَا قَالَ «هِيَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»

قال قيل للنبي ﷺ إن فلانة تصوم النهار وتقوم الليل وتؤذي جيرانها فقال لا خير فيها هي من أهل النار وقيل فلانة تصلي المكتوبة ولا تؤذي جيرانها قال هي من أهل الجنة السدي عن أبيه

"عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قِيلَ للنَّبِىِّ ﷺ إِنَّ فُلَانَةَ تَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ، وتصومُ النَّهَار وَتَفْعَلُ وَتَتَصَدَّق، وتُؤْذِى جيرَانَهَا بِلسانِهَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ لَا خير فِيها هِى من أَهْلِ النَّارِ، قِيلَ: وَفُلَانَة تُصَلِّى المكتُوبَة، وتَتَصَدَّقُ مِن الأَثْوَارِ مِن الأقْطِ (*)، وَلَا تُؤْذِى أَحَدًا، فَقَال رسولُ الله ﷺ هِى مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ".
