"أما عَلِمْتَ أن الله ﷻ اطَّلَعَ إِلى أهلِ الأرض فاختار منهم أباكِ، فبعثه نبيًّا، ثم اطَّلعَ الثانية فاختار بَعْلَكِ - فأَوْحَى إِليّ فأنكحتُهُ واتَّخَذْتُهُ وَصِيًا" قاله لفاطمة.
عَبَايَةُ بْنُ رِبْعِيٍّ الْأَسَدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Fatimah, "Did you not know that Allah looked at the people of the earth and chose your father, so He sent him as a prophet? Then He looked again and chose your husband, so I received revelation and married him, and took him as my successor?"
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِفَاطِمَةَ ؓ «أَمَا عَلِمْتِ أَنَّ اللهَ ﷻ اطَّلَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ فَاخْتَارَ مِنْهُمْ أَبَاكِ فَبَعَثَهُ نَبِيًّا ثُمَّ اطَّلَعَ الثَّانِيَةَ فَاخْتَارَ بَعْلَكِ فَأَوْحَى إِلَيَّ فَأَنْكَحْتُهُ وَاتَّخَذْتُهُ وَصِيًّا؟»
