" عن أبى المُهَلَّبِ وَغَيْرِه: أنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ قَالَ في المَرْأَةِ وَأبَوَيْنِ هى مِنْ أَرْبَعَةِ أسْهُمٍ: لِلمَرْأةِ الرُّبعُ سَهْمٌ، وَلِلأُمِّ ثُلُثُ مَا يَبقَى سَهمٌ، وَللأَبِ مَا يَبْقَى سَهْمَانِ ".
[Machine] He said to the woman: a quarter is one out of four, and for the mother is one-third of what remains as a share, and for the father are two shares.
أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِلْمَرْأَةِ الرُّبُعُ سَهْمٌ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةٍ وَلِلْأُمِّ ثُلُثُ مَا بَقِيَ سَهْمٌ وَلِلْأَبِ سَهْمَانِ
[Machine] That he divided it into four shares: one share for the woman, a third of what remains for the mother, and the father gets what remains.
