Ibn ʿAbbas said: "Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon on the Day of Nahr, and said, 'O people! (Tell me) what is the day today?' The people replied, 'It is the forbidden (sacred) day.' He asked again, 'What town is this?' They replied, 'It is the forbidden (Sacred) town.' He asked, 'Which month is this?' They replied, 'It is the forbidden (Sacred) month.' He said, 'No doubt! Your blood, your properties, and your honor are sacred to one another like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this (sacred) town (Mecca) of yours, in this month of yours.' The Prophet ﷺ repeated his statement again and again. After that he raised his head and said, 'O Allah! Haven't conveyed (Your Message) to them'. Haven't I conveyed Your Message to them?' " Ibn ʿAbbas added, "By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, the following was his will (Prophet's will) to his followers:--It is incumbent upon those who are present to convey this information to those who are absent Beware don't renegade (as) disbelievers (turn into infidels) after me, Striking the necks (cutting the throats) of one another.' "

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَىُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا قَالُوا يَوْمٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ فَأَىُّ بَلَدٍ هَذَا قَالُوا بَلَدٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ فَأَىُّ شَهْرٍ هَذَا قَالُوا شَهْرٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا فَأَعَادَهَا مِرَارًا ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ اللَّهُمَّ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهَا لَوَصِيَّتُهُ إِلَى أُمَّتِهِ فَلْيُبْلِغِ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ لاَ تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ

The Prophet ﷺ said at Mina, "Do you know what day is today?" They (the people) replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better," He said "Today is 10th of Dhul-Hijja, the sacred (forbidden) day. Do you know what town is this town?" They (the people) replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, "This is the (forbidden) Sacred town (Mecca a sanctuary)." And do you know which month is this month?" They (the People) replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, ''This is the Sacred (forbidden) month ." He added, "Allah has made your blood, your properties and your honor Sacred to one another (i.e. Muslims) like the sanctity of this day of yours in this month of yours, in this town of yours." (See Hadith No. 797, Vol. 2.)

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِمِنًى أَتَدْرُونَ أَىُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ فَإِنَّ هَذَا يَوْمٌ حَرَامٌ أَفَتَدْرُونَ أَىُّ بَلَدٍ هَذَا قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ بَلَدٌ حَرَامٌ أَتَدْرُونَ أَىُّ شَهْرٍ هَذَا قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ شَهْرٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, during the Farewell Pilgrimage: ‘Is not the most sacred of your days this day, is not the most sacred of your months this month, is not the most sacred of your lands this land? Your blood and your wealth are as sacred to you as this day of yours in this month of yours. Have I not conveyed (the message)?’ They said: ‘Yes.” He said: ‘O Allah, bear witness.’”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي حِجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ أَلاَ إِنَّ أَحْرَمَ الأَيَّامِ يَوْمُكُمْ هَذَا أَلاَ وَإِنَّ أَحْرَمَ الشُّهُورِ شَهْرُكُمْ هَذَا أَلاَ وَإِنَّ أَحْرَمَ الْبَلَدِ بَلَدُكُمْ هَذَا أَلاَ وَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا أَلاَ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اشْهَدْ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, during the Farewell Pilgrimage: ‘Is not the most sacred of your days this day, is not the most sacred of your months this month, is not the most sacred of your lands this land? Your blood and your wealth are as sacred to you as this day of yours in this month of yours. Have I not conveyed (the message)?’ They said: ‘Yes.” He said: ‘O Allah, bear witness.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3931)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ أَلَا إِنَّ أَحْرَمَ الْأَيَّامِ يَوْمُكُمْ هَذَا وَإِنَّ أَحْرَمَ الشُّهُورِ شَهْرُكُمْ هَذَا وَإِنَّ أَحْرَمَ الْبِلَادِ بَلَدُكُمْ هَذَا أَلَا وَإِنَّ أَمْوَالَكُمْ وَدِمَاءَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا فِيشَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا أَلَا هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ اللهُمَّ اشْهَدْ

[AI] I was riding behind my father during the Farewell Pilgrimage. When the Prophet ﷺ spoke, I stood on the rear of the mount and placed my hand on my father's shoulder, and I heard him say: "Which day is more sacred?" They said, "This day." He said, "Which land is more sacred?" They said, "This land." He said, "Which month is more sacred?" They said, "This month." He said, "Your blood and your wealth are sacred among you, like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours. Have I conveyed?" They said, "Yes." He said, "O Allah ﷻ, bear witness. O Allah ﷻ, bear witness."

إِنِّي لَرَدِيفُ أَبِي فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، إِذْ تَكَلَّمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، فَقُمْتُ عَلَى عَجُزِ الرَّاحِلَةِ، فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى عَاتِقِ أَبِي، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «أَيُّ يَوْمٍ أَحْرَمُ؟» قَالُوا: هَذَا الْيَوْمُ. قَالَ: «فَأَيُّ بَلَدٍ أَحْرَمُ؟» قَالُوا: هَذَا الْبَلَدُ. قَالَ: «فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ أَحْرَمُ؟» قَالُوا: هَذَا الشَّهْرُ. قَالَ: «فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ، كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا، هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟» قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ اشْهَدْ، اللَّهُمَّ اشْهَدْ».

[Machine] Our Messenger ﷺ addressed us on the Day of Sacrifice and said, "Which day is the greatest in sanctity?" They replied, "Our day is the greatest." He then asked, "Which month is the greatest in sanctity?" They said, "Our month is the greatest." He further asked, "Which city is the greatest in sanctity?" They responded, "Our city is the greatest." He then said, "Indeed, your lives and wealth are sacred to one another, just as this day is sacred in this month and this city. Have I conveyed the message?" They answered, "Yes." May Allah bear witness."

خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فَقَالَ أَيُّ يَوْمٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً؟ فَقَالَوا يَوْمُنَا هَذَا قَالَ فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً؟ قَالَوا شَهْرُنَا هَذَا قَالَ أَيُّ بَلَدٍ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً؟ قَالَوا بَلَدُنَا هَذَا قَالَ فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟ قَالَوا نَعَمْ قَالَ اللهُمَّ اشْهَدْ

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering a sermon to the people in Mina. He praised and thanked Allah, then he asked them, "Which day is this?" They replied, "This is the day of Haram." He asked them, "Which place is Haram?" They replied, "This place is Haram." He asked them, "Which month is Haram?" They replied, "This month is Haram." He said, "Verily, your lives and your wealth are sacred upon you, just as the sanctity of this day, this month, and this place. O Allah, have I conveyed?" They said, "Yes." He said, "O Allah, bear witness."

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ بِمِنًى فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ سَأَلَهُمْ فَقَالَ «أَيُّ يَوْمٍ أَحْرَمُ؟» قَالُوا هَذَا الْيَوْمُ قَالَ «فَأَيُّ بَلَدٍ أَحْرَمُ؟» قَالُوا هَذَا الْبَلَدُ قَالَ «فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ أَحْرَمُ؟» قَالُوا هَذَا الشَّهْرُ قَالَ «فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَحُرْمَةِ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ وَحُرْمَةِ هَذَا الْبَلَدِ اللهُمَّ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟» قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ اشْهَدْ»

[Machine] I was riding behind my father on the departure and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was delivering a sermon at the stone pillar. He said, "Praise be to Allah, we praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We bear witness that there is no god except Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. I advise you to have Taqwa (consciousness of Allah) on every day I live." They said, "This day." He said, "Which month shall I sanctify?" They said, "This month." He said, "Which land shall I sanctify?" They said, "This land." He said, "Indeed, your blood and wealth are sacred to one another, as sacred as this day of yours in this month of yours in this land of yours."

كُنْتُ رِدْفَ أَبِي عَلَى عَجُزِ الرَّاحِلَةِ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ عِنْدَ الْجَمْرَةِ فَقَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أُوصِيكُمْ بِتَقْوَى اللهِ أِيُّ يَوْمٍ أُحَرِّمُ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا هَذَا قَالَ فَأِيُّ شَهْرٍ أُحَرِّمُ؟ قَالُوا هَذَا قَالَ فَأِيُّ بَلَدٍ أُحَرِّمُ؟ قَالُوا هَذَا الْبَلَدُ قَالَ فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ حَرَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا

"أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَيُّ شَهْرٍ أَحْرَمُ؟ قالُوا: هَذَا، قَال: أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَأَيُّ بَلَد أَحْرَمُ ؟ قَالُوا: هَذَا، قَال: فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالكُمْ، وأَعْرَاضَكُم مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيكُمْ كُحرَمَةِ يَوْمِكم هَذَا في شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا في بلَدِكُمْ هَذَا إِلى يَوْمِ تَلقَوْنَ رَبَكُمْ، هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟ اللَّهُمَ اشْهَدْ، أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ليُبَلغ الشَّاهِدُ الغَائِبَ".

"عَنْ وَابِصَةَ قَالَ: شَهِدَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ في حَجَّةِ الوَدَاع وَهُو يَقُولُ: ايُّهَا النَّاسُ: أىُّ يَوْمٍ أَحْرمُ؟ قَالَ النَّاسُ: هَذَا اليَوم وَهُوَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ، قَالَ: أَىُّ شَهْرٍ أَحْرَمُ لله قَالَ النَّاسُ: هَذَا الشَّهْر، قَالَ: أَىُّ بَلَدٍ أحْرَمُ؟ قَالُوا: هذِهِ البَلدَة، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُم وَأمْوَالَكُمْ وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ مُحَرَّمَة عَلَيْكُمْ، كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا في شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا في بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا إلى يَوْم تَلقَوْنَهُ، ألَا هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟ قَالَ النَّاسُ: نَعَمْ، فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ إلى السَّمَاءِ: اللَّهُمَّ اشْهَدْ يَقُولُهَا ثَلاثا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: لِيُبَلِّغ الشَّاهِدُ الغَائِبَ".

"عَنْ وَابِصَةَ أَنَّ النَبِىَّ ﷺ خَطَبَهُمْ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ أيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّى لَا أرَانِى وَإياكُمْ نَجْتَمِعُ هَذَا المجِلسَ أبَدًا فَأىُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا: عَرَفَة، قَالَ: فَأىُّ بَلَدٍ هَذا؟ قَالُوا: البَلَدُ الحَرَامُ، قَالَ: فَأىُّ شَهْرٍ هذا؟ قَالُوا: الشَّهْرُ الحَرَامُ، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأمْوَالَكُمْ وَأعْرَاضَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَام كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا في بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا، في شَهْرِكُمْ هَذا هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟ : اللَّهُمَّ اشْهَدْ".

"يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ: أَىُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا: هَذَا يَوْمٌ حَرَامٌ، قَالَ: فَأَىُّ بَلَد هَذَا؟ قَالُوا (*): هَذَا بَلَدٌ حَرَامٌ، قَالَ: فَأَىُّ شَهْرٍ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا: هَذَا شَهْرٌ حَرَامٌ، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ، وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ، وأَعْرَاضَكُمْ عَلَيْكمْ حَرَامٌ، كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِى بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا، فِى شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا، اللَّهُمَّ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ، اللَّهُمَّ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ؟ ! فَلْيُبَلِّغِ الشَّاهِدُ الغَائِبَ، لا تَرْجِعْوا بَعْدِى كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ".
