"I have never prayed behind anyone whose prayer more closely resembled that of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than so-and-so. We prayed behind that person and he used to make the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr lengthy and the last two shorter, and he would make 'Asr shorter; in Maghrib he would recite the short Mufassal surahs. In Isha' he recited: 'By the sun and its brightness and similar surahs, and in subh he recited two lengthy surahs."  

مَا صَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ أَحَدٍ أَشْبَهَ صَلاَةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ فُلاَنٍ فَصَلَّيْنَا وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ الإِنْسَانِ وَكَانَ يُطِيلُ الأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ وَيُخَفِّفُ فِي الأُخْرَيَيْنِ وَيُخَفِّفُ فِي الْعَصْرِ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِقِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِشَاءِ بِالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا وَأَشْبَاهِهَا وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ بِسُورَتَيْنِ طَوِيلَتَيْنِ

[Machine] He said, "I have never prayed behind anyone whose prayer resembled the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ more than so-and-so, a man whose name he mentioned." Al-Dhahhak narrated, "Bukayr ibn Abdullah told me that Sulaiman ibn Yasir said, 'I prayed behind that man and saw him prolong the first two units of the Dhuhr prayer and shorten the last two, and he would also shorten the Asr prayer. In the Maghrib prayer, he would recite a moderate amount, and in the Isha prayer, he would recite the lengthy Surahs and the ones that resembled them. Then in the Fajr prayer, he would recite the lengthy Surahs from the verses that are in pairs."

[Machine] He heard Abu Hurairah say, "I have not seen anyone who prayed more similar to the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than so-and-so, the leader who was in Medina." Sulaiman said, "I prayed behind him and he would prolong the first two rakahs of Dhuhr prayer and shorten the last two rakahs, and he would shorten the Asr prayer. He would recite the detailed recitation in the first two rakahs of Maghrib prayer, and the middle recitation in the first two rakahs of Isha prayer, and the longer recitation in Fajr prayer."
