"The Prophet ﷺ prayed Zuhr when the length of (a person's shadow) was between three and five feet in summer, and between five and seven feet in winter."

كَانَ قَدْرُ صَلاَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الظُّهْرَ فِي الصَّيْفِ ثَلاَثَةَ أَقْدَامٍ إِلَى خَمْسَةِ أَقْدَامٍ وَفِي الشِّتَاءِ خَمْسَةَ أَقْدَامٍ إِلَى سَبْعَةِ أَقْدَامٍ

The extent of the shadow when the Messenger of Allah prayed (the noon prayer) was three to five feet in summer and five to seven feet in winter.

[Machine] The prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be three to five units in the summer, and five to seven units in the winter. This is mentioned in the hadith of Abu Dawood and is a matter that varies in different countries and regions, and it is estimated in each region according to its known practice for determining the timing of the disappearance of sunlight.
