47. Virtues of the Qur'ān
٤٧۔ كِتَابُ فَضَائِلِ الْقُرْآنِ
“Whoever recites the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1369)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»
If anyone recites the two verses at the end of Surah al-Baqara at night, they would suffice for him 'Abd al-Rahman said: I met Abu Mas'ud and he was circumambulating the House (of Allah) and asked him about this (tradition) and he narrated it to me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Muslim 808a)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ الْآخِرَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ» قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ
The Prophet ﷺ said, "If somebody recited the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqara at night, that will be sufficient for him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5009)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْآيَتَانِ الْأُخْرَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a man reciting in the mosque at night, so he said, "He reminded me of certain verses that I used to omit from a certain Surah."
سَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَيْلًا فَقَالَ «لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنْ آيَةٍ قَدْ كُنْتُ أَسْقَطْهُنَّ مِنْ سُورَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا»
