47. Virtues of the Qur'ān
[Machine] "I migrated to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day, and I overheard two men disagreeing about a verse from the Book of Allah. The anger was visible on his face, so he said, 'Verily, those before you were destroyed because of their differences in the Book.'"
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Gather around the Quran as long as you are in agreement upon it. But if you differ in interpretation, then stand up (and refrain from discussion)." He mentioned this to us on another occasion, and he did not raise his hand (to signal the end of his statement).
Recite the Qur'an as long as your hearts agree to do so, and when you feel variance between them (between your hearts and tongues), then get up (and leave its recital for the time being). (Using translation from Muslim 2667a)
The Prophet ﷺ said, "Recite (and study) the Qur'an as long as you agree about its interpretation, but when you have any difference of opinion (as regards its interpretation and meaning) then you should stop reciting it (for the time being)' (Using translation from Bukhārī 5061)
[Machine] 'Umar said, "Read the Quran as long as you agree upon it, but when you differ, stand up."
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , Ahmed bin Khalil narrated to us, he said Khaled narrated to us, he said Suleiman narrated to me, he said Umara bin Ghaziyya Al-Ansari narrated, he said I heard Abdullah bin Ali bin Hussein narrating from his father, from his grandfather, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The stingy person is the one in whose presence I am mentioned, but he does not send salutations upon me."
“My grandfather, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, taught me some words to say in Qunut of Witr: Allahumma ‘afini fiman ‘afait, wa tawallani fiman tawallait, wahdini fiman hadait, wa qini sharra ma qadait, wa barik li fima a’tait. Subhanaka rabbana tabarakta wa ta’alait (O Allah, pardon me along with those whom You have pardoned, be an ally to me along with those whom You are an ally to, guide me along with those whom You have guided, protect me from the evil that You have decreed, and bless for me that which You have bestowed. For verily You decree and none can decree over You. He whom You support can never be humiliated. Glory is to You, our Lord, You are Blessed and Exalted).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1178)
