" The heart belied not what he saw" (al Qur'an, Iiii. 11) imply that he saw Gabriel (peace be upon him) and he had six hundred wings.  

مسلم:١٧٤b – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

{ مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَى} قَالَ رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ لَهُ سِتُّمِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ

أحمد:٣٧٨٠ – حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ زِرَّ بْنَ حُبَيْشٍ وَعَلَيَّ دَرْبَانِ فَأُلْقِيَتْ عَلَيَّ مَحَبَّةٌ مِنْهُ وَعِنْدَهُ شَبَابٌ فَقَالُوا لِي سَلْهُ {فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى} [النجم 9] ؟ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَلَهُ سِتُّ مِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ  

tabarani:10423 – ʿAbdān b. Aḥmad > Muʾammal b. Ihāb > Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb > Ḥusayn b. Wāqid > ʿĀṣim > Abū Wāʾil > ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "I saw Gabriel ﷺ with six hundred wings."  

الطبراني:١٠٤٢٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِهَابٍ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «رَأَيْتُ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ لَهُ سِتُّمِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ»  

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى فَأَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَى} [النجم: 10]

nasai-kubra:11470 – Aḥmad b. Manīʿ > ʿAbbād b. al-ʿAwwām > al-Shaybānī > Saʾalt Zir b. Ḥubaysh

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ saw Jibril ﷺ with him having six hundred wings.
