muslim:173[Chain 1] Abū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah > Abū Usāmah > Mālik b. Mighwal [Chain 2] Ibn Numayr And Zuhayr b. Ḥarb > ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr Waʾalfāẓuhum Mutaqāribah > Ibn Numayr from my father > Mālik b. Mighwal > al-Zubayr b. ʿAdī > Ṭalḥah > Murrah > ʿAbdullāh

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was taken on the Night Journey, he was brought to the Sidrat al-Muntaha (Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary), which is in the sixth heaven. To it reaches what ascends from the earth, and from it it is received; and to it reaches what descends from above it, and from it it is received.

He said: “When there covered the Sidrat al-Muntaha that which covered it.” He said ˹they are˺ “Moths of gold.” He said: Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given three things: he was given the five daily prayers; he was given the concluding verses of Sūrat al-Baqarah; and forgiveness was granted to those of his community who do not do shirk (associate anything) with Allah for the grave, ruinous sins.

muslim:174aAbū al-Rabīʿ al-Zahrānī > ʿAbbād / Ibn al-ʿAwwām > al-Shaybānī > Saʾalt Zir b. Ḥubaysh

I asked Zirr b. Hubaish about the words of Allah (the Mighty and Great):" So he was (at a distance) of two bows or nearer" (al-Qur'an, Iiii 8). He said: Ibn Mas'ud informed me that, verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw Gabriel and he had six hundred wings.

muslim:174bAbū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah > Ḥafṣ b. Ghiyāth > al-Shaybānī > Zir > ʿAbdullāh > Mā Kadhab al-Fuʾād Mā Raʾá

" The heart belied not what he saw" (al Qur'an, Iiii. 11) imply that he saw Gabriel (peace be upon him) and he had six hundred wings.

muslim:174cʿUbaydullāh b. Muʿādh al-ʿAnbarī from my father > Shuʿbah > Sulaymān al-Shaybānī > Zir b. Ḥubaysh > ʿAbdullāh > Laqad Raʾá from Āyāt Rabbih al-Kubrá

" Certainly he saw of the greatest signs of Allah" (al-Qur'an, liii. 18) imply that he saw Gabriel in his (original) form and he had six hundred wings.
