1.48 Clarifying Isbal: The emphatic prohibition of letting one's garment hang below the ankles

and bragging about generosity, selling goods through false oaths, and the description of the three types of people whom Allah will not speak to on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He look at them, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful punishment.

Three types of people who Allah will ignore on the Day of Judgement

muslim:106aAbū Bakr b. Abī Shaybah > Muḥammad b. al-Muthannā > Ibn Bashshār > Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > ʿAlī b. Mudrik > Abū Zurʿah > Kharashah b. al-Ḥurr > Abū Dharr

from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "There are three to whom Allah ﷻ will not speak on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He look at them, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful punishment." He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited it three times. Abu Dharr said, "They have failed and lost; who are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "The one who lets his garment hang low, the one who reminds others of his favors, and the one who sells his merchandise by a false oath."

muslim:106bAbū Bakr b. Khalāad al-Bāhilī > Yaḥyá / al-Qaṭṭān > Sufyān > Sulaymān al-Aʿmash > Sulaymān b. Mushir > Kharashah b. al-Ḥur > Abū Dhar

Three are the persons with whom Allah would not speak on the Day of Resurrection: the bestower of gift who does not give anything but by laying obligation on him, the seller of goods who sells them by taking false oath and one who hangs low his lower garment.

muslim:106cMuḥammad / Ibn Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Sulaymān Bihadhā al-Isnād

Allah shall neither speak nor look at nor absolve then, and there is a tormenting punishment for them.

muslim:107Abū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah > Wakīʿ Waʾabū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Abū Ḥāzim > Abū Hurayrah

Three (are the persons) with whom Allah would neither speak, nor would He absolve them on the Day of Resurrection. Abu Mu'awiya added: He would not look at them and there is grievous torment for them: the aged adulterer, the liar king and the proud destitute.

muslim:108aAbū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah And ʾAbū Kurayb > Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Abū Ṣāliḥ > Abū Hurayrah Wahadhā Ḥadīth Abū Bakr

Three are the persons with whom Allah would neither speak on the Day of Resurrection, nor would He look towards them, nor would purify them (from sins), and there would be a tormenting chastisement for them: a person who in the waterless desert has more water (than his need) and he refuses to give it to the traveller and a person who sold a commodity to another person in the afternoon and took an oath of Allah that he had bought it at such and such price and he (the buyer) accepted it to be true though it was not a fact, and a person who pledged allegiance to the Imam but for the sake of the world (material gains). And if the Imam bestowed on him (something) out of that (worldly riches) he stood by his allegiance and if he did not give him, he did not fulfil the allegiance.

muslim:108b[Chain 1] Zuhayr b. Ḥarb > Jarīr [Chain 2] Saʿīd b. ʿAmr al-Ashʿathī > ʿAbthar > al-Aʿmash Bihadhā al-Isnād > Ghayr

He offered for sale a commodity to another person.

muslim:108cʿAmr al-Nāqid > Sufyān > ʿAmr > Abū Ṣāliḥ > Abū Hurayrah > Urāh Marfūʿ

Three are the persons with whom Allah would neither speak (on the Day of Resurrection) nor would He look at them, and there would be a painful chastisement for them, a person who took an oath on the goods of a Muslim in the afternoon and then broke it. The rest of the hadith is the same as narrated by A'mash.
