ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ ؓ كَانَ رُبُعَ الْإِسْلَامِ

[Machine] "I was a quarter of Islam, three people had embraced Islam before me and I was the fourth. I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.' Then I saw the Prophet's face brighten up with happiness as a condition of a Muslim."  

كُنْتُ رُبْعَ الْإِسْلَامِ أَسْلَمَ قَبْلِي ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ وَأَنَا الرَّابِعُ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ فَرَأَيْتُ الِاسْتِبْشَارَ فِي وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ على شرط مسلم  

[Machine] I was one of the first quarter of Islam to embrace it. Three people converted to Islam before me, and I was the fourth. I went to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and said, "Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger." I saw joy on the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he asked, "Who are you?" I said, "I'm Jundub, a man from the tribe of Ghifar." It seemed that he was surprised and wished that I belonged to a different tribe than the one I was from. That was because I belonged to a tribe that used to steal the caravans with their weapons.  

كُنْتُ رَبْعَ الْإِسْلَامِ أَسْلَمَ قَبْلِي ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ وَأَنَا الرَّابِعُ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ فَرَأَيْتُ الِاسْتِبْشَارَ فِي وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَنْ أَنْتَ؟» فَقُلْتُ أَنَا جُنْدُبٌ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ فَكَأَنَّهُ ﷺ ارْتَدَعَ وَوَدَّ أَنِّي كُنْتُ مِنْ قَبِيلَةٍ غَيْرِ الَّتِي أَنَا مِنْهُمْ وَذَاكَ أَنِّي كُنْتُ مِنْ قَبِيلَةٍ يَسْرِقُونَ الْحَاجَّ بِمَحَاجِنَ لَهُمْ  

"كُنْتُ رُّبْعَ الإسْلَام، أَسْلَم قَبْلِى - ثَلَاثَةُ نَفْرٍ: النَّبِىُّ ﷺ ، وأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَبِلَالٌ، وَأَنَا الرَّابِعُ، أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ فَقُلْتُ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ! أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدهُ وَرَسُولهُ، فَرَأَيْتُ الاسْتِبْشَارَ فِى وَجْهِ رَسُول الله ﷺ فَقَالَ: مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ فَقُلْتُ: انَا جُنْدُب رَجُلٌ مِن بَنِى غِفَارٍ فَكَأَنَّهُ ﷺ ارْتَدَعَ وَودَّ أَنّى كُنْتُ مِنْ قَبِيلَةٍ غَيْر الَّتى أَنَا مِنْهُم، وَذَاكَ أَنِّى كُنْتُ مِنْ قَبِيلَةٍ يَسْرِقُونَ الْحَاجَّ بِمَحاجِنَ لَهُمْ".
