ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَمَّا يَجِبُ عَلَى الْمَرْءِ مِنْ مُجَانَبَةِ الْخُرُوجِ إِلَى مَا لَا يُرْضِي اللَّهَ جَلَّ وَعَلَا عِنْدَ الِاحْتِدَادِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What do you say about As-Sur'ah?" I said, "It is that which men cannot control." He said, "As-Sur'ah is when one restrains oneself during anger."  

ابن حبّان:٥٦٩١ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَوَانَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا تَقُولُونَ فِي الصُّرَعَةِ؟ » قَالَ قُلْتُ الَّذِي لَا يَصْرَعُهُ الرِّجَالُ قَالَ «الصُّرَعَةُ الَّذِي يُمْسِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ»

Whom do you consider a wrestler among you? The people replied: (the man) whom the men cannot defeat in wrestling. He said: No, it is he who controls himself when he is angry.
