The Prophet ﷺ heard a man say: Labbayk (always ready to obey) on behalf of Shubrumah. He asked: Who is Shubrumah? He replied: A brother or relative of mine. He asked: Have you performed hajj on your own behalf? He said: No. He said: perform hajj on your own behalf, then perform it on behalf of Shubrumah.  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَمِعَ رَجُلاً يَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ عَنْ شُبْرُمَةَ قَالَ مَنْ شُبْرُمَةَ قَالَ أَخٌ لِي أَوْ قَرِيبٌ لِي قَالَ حَجَجْتَ عَنْ نَفْسِكَ قَالَ لاَ قَالَ حُجَّ عَنْ نَفْسِكَ ثُمَّ حُجَّ عَنْ شُبْرُمَةَ  

“Labbaik ‘an Shubrumah (Here I am (O Allah) on behalf of Shubrumah.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Who is Shubrumah?” He said: “A relative of mine.” He said: “Have you ever performed Hajj?” He said: “No.” He said: “Then make this for yourself, then perform Hajj on behalf of Shubrumah.”  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَمِعَ رَجُلاً يَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ عَنْ شُبْرُمَةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ شُبْرُمَةُ قَالَ قَرِيبٌ لِي قَالَ هَلْ حَجَجْتَ قَطُّ قَالَ لاَ قَالَ فَاجْعَلْ هَذِهِ عَنْ نَفْسِكَ ثُمَّ احْجُجْ عَنْ شُبْرُمَةَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a man saying "Labbaik" for Shubrumah, so he asked, "Who is Shubrumah?" The man replied, "He is my brother or a relative of mine." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then asked, "Have you performed Hajj?" The man replied, "No." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Perform Hajj for yourself, then perform Hajj for Shubrumah."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ عَنْ شُبْرُمَةَ فَقَالَ «مَنْ شُبْرُمَةُ؟» قَالَ أَخِي أَوْ قَرِيبٌ لِي قَالَ «هَلْ حَجَجْتَ؟» قَالَ لَا قَالَ «حُجَّ عَنْ نَفْسِكَ ثُمَّ حُجَّ عَنْ شُبْرُمَةَ»  

"أَيُّهَا المُلَبِّى عَن شُبْرَمَةَ، مَن شُبْرُمَةُ؟ قَال: أَخٌ لِي أَوْ نَسِيبٌ لِي فَقَال: أَحَجَجْت عَن نَفْسِكَ؟ قَال: لَا. قَال: فَاحْجُجْ عَن نَفْسِكَ ثُمَّ حُجَّ عَن شُبْرُمَةَ. قَالهُ ﷺ حِينَ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يُلَبِّى عَن شُبْرُمَةَ".
