"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited that an animal with a A'dab (stump) horn or ear should be slaughtered as a sacrifice." Qatadah (one of the narrators) said: "So I mentioned this to Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab and he said: 'The A'dab is that which equals or more than that.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1504)   

الحاكم:١٧١٩ – مَا حَدَّثَنَاهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي قَالَا ثنا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ ثنا عَفَّانُ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالُوا ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جُرَيَّ بْنَ كُلَيْبٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ

«أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُضَحَّى بِأَعْضَبِ الْقَرْنِ وَالْأُذُنِ» قَالَ قَتَادَةُ فَذَكَرْتُ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ الْعَضَبُ النِّصْفُ فَمَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ وَمِنْهَا

"Messenger of Allah forbade us from sacrificing an animal with a broken horn." I (the narrator) mentioned that to Sa'eed bin Al_Musayyab and he said: "Yes, m unless half or more of the horn is missing."

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:١٥٠٤ – حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ جُرَىِّ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُضَحَّى بِأَعْضَبِ الْقَرْنِ وَالأُذُنِ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ فَقَالَ الْعَضْبُ مَا بَلَغَ النِّصْفَ فَمَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade sacrificing an animal that had lost most of its horn or ear, Qatadah said: I mentioned that to Saʿeed bin Al-Musayyab and he said: Yes, the one that has lost half or more of that.  

أحمد:١١٥٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ جُرَيِّ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى أَنَّ يُضَحَّى بِأَعْضَبِ الْقَرْنِ وَالْأُذُنِ» قَالَ قَتَادَةُ وَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ «الْعَضْبُ النِّصْفُ فَمَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح

[Machine] Ali heard the Prophet ﷺ saying that he forbade sacrificing parts of the ear and horn. Qatadah said, "I asked Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib about the 'adhab (part of an animal's ear and horn) and he said, 'Half is enough, and anything beyond that is excess.'"
