If you live for a time, you would certainly see people get up (in the morning) in the wrath of Allah and getting into the evening under the curse of Allah, and there would be in their hands (whips) like the tail of an ox. (Using translation from Muslim 2857b)

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying in his sermon, "O people, you will soon come to know the people of Paradise from the people of the Fire, or he said, the best of you from the worst of you." A man from the people asked, "How, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "By good and bad praise. You are witnesses for one another."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There will be men in the later part of this nation who will ride on saddles of bones until they reach the doors of their mosques. Their women will be clothed yet naked, with their heads like the humps of camels. Curse them for they are cursed! If there were a nation that came after you, they would serve them as the women of the previous nations served you." So, I asked my father, "What are the saddles of bones?" He said, "They are the means of transportation made of bones."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "By the One who sent me with the truth, this world will not come to an end until there occurs among them sinking, disfigurement, and pelting." They asked, "When is that, O Prophet of Allah?" He replied, "When you see women riding on saddles, and singing girls becoming prevalent, and false testimonies being accepted, and Muslims drinking alcohol in the vessels of the people of polytheism made of gold and silver, and men becoming content with men, and women becoming content with women, then seek forgiveness and prepare yourselves." And he said so while covering his face with his hand.

ʿUmar bin al-Khattab gave a speech and said: O people, we used to know you when the Prophet ﷺ was among us and revelation was coming down to him; Allah would tell us about you. But now the Prophet ﷺ has passed away and revelation has ceased, and now the way to judge you is this whoever among you shows us good conduct, we will think well of him and love him; whoever among you shows us bad conduct, we will think badly of him and hate him for that, and whatever is in your hearts is between you and your Lord. There was a time when I used to think that whoever learned the Qurʿan, seeking thereby Allah and (the reward that) is with Him, would be rewarded in the Hereafter, but some men learned Qurʿan seeking that which is with people. So seek Allah by learning Qurʿan and by your good deeds. By Allah, I do not send my workers to strike you or seize your wealth; rather I send them to you to teach you your religion and Sunnah, whoever has done to him something other than that, let him refer it to me, for by the One in Whose hand is my soul, I shall surely grant him retaliation. ʿAmr bin al-ʿAs stood up and said: O Ameer al Muʿmineen, do you think if one of the Muslims was in charge of some people and he disciplined one of them, would you allow that one to settle the score with him? He said: Yes, by the One in Whose hand is the soul of ʿUmar, I would not certainly allow him to settle the score with him. I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do that with regard to himself. But do not strike the Muslims and thus humiliate them, and do not keep them away from their wives on campaign for too long and thus expose them to temptation. Do not withhold from them their due rights and cause them to rebel; and do not make them camp in an area with a lot of trees, because that will cause them to be scattered. It was narrated that ‘Abul-ʿAjfaʿ as-Sulami said: I heard ‘Umar say: Do not make womenʿs dowries expensive,... and he mentioned the same hadeeth. (Using translation from Aḥmad 286)

There would soon be turmoil. Behold! when the turmoil comes or it appears, the one who has camel should stick to his camel and he who has sheep or goat should stick to his sheep and goat and he who has land should stick to the land. A person said: 'Messenger of Allah, what is your opinion about one who has neither camel nor sheep nor land? I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The (system) of night and day would not end until the people have taken to the worship of Lat and 'Uzza. I said: Messenger of Allah, I think when Allah has revealed this verse:" He it is Who has sent His Messenger with right guidance, and true religion, so that He may cause it to prevail upon all religions, though the polytheists are averse (to it)" (ix. 33), it implies that (this promise) is going to be fulfilled. Thereupon he (Allah's Apostle) said: It would happen as Allah would like. Then Allah would send the sweet fragrant air by which everyone who has even a mustard grain of faith in Him would die and those only would survive who would have no goodness in them. And they would revert to the religion of their forefathers. (Using translation from Muslim 2907a)

And soon, my nephew, if you live long enough, you will see a funeral passing through the market, and the man will raise his head and say, "I wish I were in their place." I asked, "Do you know what will happen to them?" He replied, "According to what they used to do." I said, "Indeed, that is in the presence of a great matter." [Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Verily, My Lord expanded the earth for me until I saw its easts and wests, and He gave me the red and white treasures, and indeed my nation will reach its dominion which is expanded for me from it. I asked my Lord for my nation, not to destroy them with a general year of disaster, so He gave it to me. And I asked Him not to subject them to an enemy from outside of them, so He gave it to me. And I asked Him not to make some of them taste the punishment of others, so He prevented me from it. And He said, 'O Muhammad, if I decree a matter, it is not reversed. Indeed, I have given you for your nation that they will not be destroyed by a general year of disaster, and I will not manifest upon them an enemy other than themselves to make them permissible to each other. Even if people from all corners of the earth gathered until some of them destroy others and capture others, I do not fear for my nation except for the misleading leaders. The Hour will not be established until tribes from my nation join the polytheists and until tribes from my nation worship idols. And when the sword is unsheathed among my nation, it will never be removed from them until the Day of Resurrection.' And he claimed, 'Nothing will be taken from a man from the people of Paradise from its fruits except that Allah will replace it with something similar.' And he said, 'There is no dinar that a man spends, seeking a greater reward, than a dinar he spends on his family, then a dinar he spends on his horse in the way of Allah, then a dinar he spends on his companions in the way of Allah.' And he claimed that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ exalted this matter and when it is the Day of Resurrection, the people of ignorance will come carrying their idols on their backs, and their Lord will ask them, 'What were you worshiping?' They will say, 'Our Lord, you did not send us a messenger, nor did a command come to us. If you had sent a messenger to us, we would have obeyed you.' So their Lord will say to them, 'Did you not promise me to obey if I commanded you?' They will say, 'Yes.' So He will take their covenants concerning that and then He will order them to plunge into Hellfire and they will enter it. They will set out until when they approach it, they will see it boiling and roaring in anger, so they will become afraid and turn back to their Lord and say, 'Our Lord, turn us back from it.' So He will say, 'Did you not give me your covenants to obey me? Plunge into it.' So they will set out until when they see it, they will turn back again and say, 'Our Lord, we cannot enter it.' He will say, 'Enter it with humiliation.' So the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, 'If they had entered it the first time, it would have been cool and peaceful for them.'"

[Machine] "I fear the most for you, after me, that a man among you will be taken as innocent, then he will be pointed at and his flesh will be torn apart, just like a slaughtered camel. It will be said about him that he is a disobedient person, although he is not disobedient." Ali ibn Abi Talib, who was under the pulpit, said, "When will that be, O Commander of the Faithful? And what will cause the calamity to intensify, the malice to manifest, the offspring to be enslaved, and the trials to afflict them like the pounding of grinding stones and the burning of firewood?" He said, "When the scholars become knowledgeable in everything but religion, and the teachers learn for reasons other than actions, and when people seek worldly gain through the deeds of the Hereafter." Aban said that Ahmad abandoned his speech at this point.
