[Machine] "I approached Hudhayfah and Ibn Mas'ud while they were talking in the mosque. They mentioned the tribulation, and Ibn Mas'ud said, 'I have never seen a time where bloodshed did not occur in it. A person can wake up as a believer and go to bed as a disbeliever, or wake up as a disbeliever and go to bed as a believer. He fights in the tribulation today, and Allah kills him tomorrow, and he dies as a hypocrite before that. So, be prepared!' Hudhayfah said, 'You have spoken the truth. This is exactly what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ informed us about regarding the tribulation.'"

[Machine] I went with Hudhayfah and Abu Mas'ud to the mosque and Abu Mas'ud said, "By Allah, I did not see any shoes greater than these that had not been worn with gore, nor had blood been shed upon them." Hudhayfah said: "But I knew that the shoes would increase, yet no gore would be shed upon them. Indeed, a person may wake up as a believer and by nightfall be a disbeliever, or he may be a disbeliever in the morning and become a believer by evening. Sometimes his heart turns upside down due to this. He battles against tribulations today, but tomorrow Allah kills him." Then Abu Mas'ud said, "This is what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ informed us about tribulations."
