Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that a woman should be married to man along with her paternal or maternal aunt.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ خَالَتِهَا وَقَالَ دَاوُدُ وَابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman and her paternal aunt should not be married to the same man; and similarly, a woman and her maternal aunt should not be married to the same man."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

One should not combine a woman and her father's sister, nor a woman and her mother's sister in marriage.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لاَ يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Father's sister should not be combined with her brother's daughter, nor the daughter of a sister with her mother's sister.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الْعَمَّةُ عَلَى بِنْتِ الأَخِ وَلاَ ابْنَةُ الأُخْتِ عَلَى الْخَالَةِ

One should not combine in marriage a woman with her father's sister, or her mother's sister.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

Abu Hurairah reported The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ as saying “ A woman should not be married to one who had married her paternal aunt or a paternal aunt to one who had married her brother’s daughter or a woman to one who had married her maternal aunt or maternal aunt to one who had married her sister’s daughter. A woman who is elder (in relation) must not be married to one who had married a woman who is younger (in relation) to her nor a woman who is younger (in relation) must be married to one who has married a woman who is elder (in relation) to her.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ الْعَمَّةُ عَلَى بِنْتِ أَخِيهَا وَلاَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَلاَ الْخَالَةُ عَلَى بِنْتِ أُخْتِهَا وَلاَ تُنْكَحُ الْكُبْرَى عَلَى الصُّغْرَى وَلاَ الصُّغْرَى عَلَى الْكُبْرَى

"The Messenger of Allah prohibited that a woman be married along with her paternal aunt, or the paternal aunt along with her brother's daughter, or a woman with her maternal aunt, or the maternal aunt along with her sister's daughter, and the younger is not to be married with the older, nor the older with the younger."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوِ الْعَمَّةُ عَلَى ابْنَةِ أَخِيهَا أَوِ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا أَوِ الْخَالَةُ عَلَى بِنْتِ أُخْتِهَا لاَ تُنْكَحُ الصُّغْرَى عَلَى الْكُبْرَى وَلاَ الْكُبْرَى عَلَى الصُّغْرَى

"The Messenger of Allah said: '(A man should not be married to) a woman and her paternal aunt nor to a woman and her maternal aunt at the same time.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

"The Messenger of Allah forbade (being married to) a woman and her paternal aunt or to a woman and her maternal aunt at the same time."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah forbade being married to a woman and her paternal aunt or maternal aunt at the same time.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ خَالَتِهَا

"A woman should not be taken as a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt."

"A woman should not be taken as a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَالْعَمَّةُ عَلَى بِنْتِ أَخِيهَا

"I read a book to Ash-Sha'bi in which it was narrated from Jabir that the Prophet said: 'A woman should not be taken as a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt.' He said: 'I heard that from Jabir.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ هَذَا مِنْ جَابِرٍ

"The Messenger of Allah forbade taking a woman as a co-wife to her paternal aunt or maternal aunt."

سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَخَالَتِهَا

"The Messenger of Allah forbade taking a woman as a co-wife to her paternal aunt or maternal aunt."

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

that the Prophet said: “A woman should not be married to a man who is married to her paternal aunt of maternal aunt (at the same time).”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

“The Messenger of Allah said: “A man should not be married to a woman and her paternal aunt or maternal aunt at the same time.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

"The Messenger of Allah prohibited that a woman be married along with her paternal aunt, or the paternal aunt along with her brother's daughter, or a woman with her maternal aunt, or the maternal aunt along with her sister's daughter, and the younger is not to be married with the older, nor the older with the younger." أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَالْعَمَّةُ عَلَى ابْنَةِ أَخِيهَا أَوِ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا أَوِ الْخَالَةُ عَلَى بِنْتِ أُخْتِهَا وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الصُّغْرَى عَلَى الْكُبْرَى وَلَا الْكُبْرَى عَلَى الصُّغْرَى»

"The Messenger of Allah said: '(A man should not be married to) a woman and her paternal aunt nor to a woman and her maternal aunt at the same time.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3288)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿNo woman should be married and become a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah forbade being married to a woman and her paternal aunt or maternal aunt at the same time. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3290)

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿNo woman should be married and become a co-wife to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 577)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا افْتَتَحَ مَكَّةَ قَالَ لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ, my father said: "He forbade a woman to marry her maternal aunt or paternal aunt."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كَذَا قَالَ أَبِي أَنَّهُنَهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

that the Prophet said: “A woman should not be married to a man who is married to her paternal aunt of maternal aunt (at the same time).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1928)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ أَوْ قَالَ لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ prohibited a woman from marrying her maternal aunt or her paternal aunt.

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ تَزَوَّجَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

Abu Hurairah said “The Apostle of Allah ﷺ forbade that a woman and her maternal aunt and a woman and her paternal aunt are joined in marriage (to the same man).” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2066)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُزَوَّجَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said "One cannot be married to a woman and her paternal aunt, or a woman and her maternal aunt at the same time."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلاَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that Said ibn al-Musayyab said, "It is forbidden to be married to a woman and her paternal or maternal aunt at the same time, and for a man to have intercourse with a female slave who is carrying another man's child."

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ يُنْهَى أَنْ تُنْكَحَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا أَوْ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَأَنْ يَطَأَ الرَّجُلُ وَلِيدَةً وَفِي بَطْنِهَا جَنِينٌ لِغَيْرِهِ

One should not combine in marriage a woman with her father's sister, or her mother's sister. (Using translation from Muslim 1408e)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَلَا تَسْأَلُ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ مَا فِي صَحْفَتِهَا فَإِنَّ لَهَا مَا كُتِبَ لَهَا»

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman and her paternal aunt should not be married to the same man; and similarly, a woman and her maternal aunt should not be married to the same man." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5109)

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman and her paternal aunt should not be married to the same man; and similarly, a woman and her maternal aunt should not be married to the same man." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5109)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَلَا بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ forbade marrying a woman and her aunt, saying, "Indeed, if you do so, you would sever your relations."

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُزَوَّجَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى الْعَمَّةِ وَالْخَالَةِ قَالَ إِنَّكُنَّ إِذَا فَعَلْتُنَّ ذَلِكَ قَطَعْتُنَّ أَرْحَامَكُنَّ»
