that a man said to the Prophet ﷺ, “What Allah wills and you will!” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Do you make me and Allah equals? Rather, what Allah wills alone.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 1839)

أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَشِئْتَ۔ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَجَعَلْتَنِي وَاللهَ عَدْلًا بَلْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ۔»
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking advice, and he said, "What Allah wills and whatever you wish." The Prophet answered, "You have made me an equal in authority to Allah. Rather, say, 'What Allah alone wills.'"
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يُرَاجِعُهُ الْكَلَامَ فَقَالَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَشِئْتَ فَقَالَ جَعَلْتَنِي لِلَّهِ عَدْلًا مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ heard a man saying, "Whatever Allah wills, and whatever you will." The Prophet ﷺ said, "No, rather say, 'Whatever Allah wills alone.'"
سَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَشِئْتَ فَقَالَ بَلْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ
[Machine] "A man said to the Prophet, may ﷺ : 'Whatever Allah wills and you will.' The Prophet replied, 'You have made Allah alongside anotherentity, rather say: 'Whatever Allah wills alone.'"
رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَشِئْتَ قَالَ «جَعَلْتَ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا بَلْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ»
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "As you wish and as you please." The Prophet ﷺ responded, "You have made me an equal. Say, 'As Allah wills.'"
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَشِئْتَ قَالَ «جَعَلْتَنِي عَدْلًا قُلْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ»
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and spoke to him. The man said, "Whatever Allah wills and whatever you will." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Woe to you! Did you make me equal to Allah? Say, 'Whatever Allah wills alone.'" This incident was different from the opinion of Ishaq ibn Yoonus.
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَكَلَّمَهُ فَقَالَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ يَعْنِي وَشِئْتَ فَقَالَ وَيْلَكَ أَجَعَلْتَنِي وَاللهَ عَدْلًا؟ قُلْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ خَالَفَهُ عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and spoke to him about a matter. The man said, "What Allah wills and you will." The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Do you make me equal to Allah? Say, 'What Allah wills alone.'"
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَكَلَّمَهُ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ فَقَالَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَشِئْتَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَجَعَلْتَنِي لِلَّهِ عَدْلًا؟ قُلْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ
[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and spoke about a certain matter. The man said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Whatever Allah wills and you will." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Have you made me a partner with Allah? Rather, say, 'Whatever Allah wills alone.'"
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَكَلَّمَ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَشِئْتَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَجَعَلْتَنِي وَاللهَ عَدْلًا؟ بَلْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ
(أجعلتنى واللهَ عِدْلًا، بَل ما شَاءَ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ).
"جَعَلْتَنِى وَاللَّه عَدْلًا؛ بَلْ مَا شَاءَ اللَّه وَحْدَهُ".
" أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ: مَا شَاء الله وشَاءَ فُلَانٌ، فَقَالَ: جَعَلتَنِى لله عِدْلَا، قُلْ: مَا شَاءَ الله وَحْدَهُ".
