I would drink when I was menstruating, then I would hand it (the vessel) to the Apostle ﷺ and he would put his mouth where mine had been, and drink, and I would eat flesh from a bone when I was menstruating, then hand it over to the Apostle ﷺ and he would put his mouth where mine had been. Zuhair made no mention of (the Holy Prophet's) drinking.

كُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ أُنَاوِلُهُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ فَيَشْرَبُ وَأَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَرْقَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ أُنَاوِلُهُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ زُهَيْرٌ فَيَشْرَبُ

I would eat flesh from a bone when I was menstruating, then hand it over to the Prophet ﷺ and he would put his mouth where I had put my mouth: I would drink, then hand it over to him, and he would put his mouth( at the place) where I drank.

كُنْتُ أَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَظْمَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَأُعْطِيهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ فِي الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي فِيهِ وَضَعْتُهُ وَأَشْرَبُ الشَّرَابَ فَأُنَاوِلُهُ فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ فِي الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي كُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ

"While I was menstruating, I would nibble meat from a bone, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would put his mouth where mine had been. And while I was menstruating, I would drink from a vessel and he would put his mouth where mine had been."

كُنْتُ أَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَرْقَ فَيَضَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَاهُ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَكُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ مِنَ الإِنَاءِ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

"I would drink while I was menstruating, then I would hand it to the Prophet ﷺ, and he would put his mouth where mine had been and drink. And I would nibble at the bone on which some bits of meat were left while I was menstruating, then I would give it to the Prophet ﷺ and he would put his mouth where my mouth had been."

كُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَأُنَاوِلُهُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ فَيَشْرَبُ وَأَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَرْقَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَأُنَاوِلُهُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ

"While I was menstruating, I would nibble meat from a bone and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would put his mouth where mine has been. And while I was menstruating, I would drink from a vessel and he would put his mouth where mine had been."

كُنْتُ أَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَرْقَ فَيَضَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَاهُ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَكُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ مِنَ الإِنَاءِ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

"I would drink when I was menstruating, then I would hand it to the Prophet ﷺ, and he would put his mouth where mine had been and drink. And I would nibble at a bone on which some bits of meat were left when I was menstruating, then I would give it to the Prophet ﷺ and he would put his mouth where my mouth had been."

كُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ مِنَ الْقَدَحِ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَأُنَاوِلُهُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ فَيَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ وَأَتَعَرَّقُ مِنَ الْعَرْقِ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَأُنَاوِلُهُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ

"I used to eat the meat from a bone when I was menstruating, then the Messenger of Allah would take it and put his mouth where my mouth had been. And I would drink from a vessel, and the Messenger of Allah would take it and put his mouth where my mouth had been, and I was menstruating."

كُنْتُ أَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَظْمَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَيَأْخُذُهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ حَيْثُ كَانَ فَمِي وَأَشْرَبُ مِنَ الإِنَاءِ فَيَأْخُذُهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ حَيْثُ كَانَ فَمِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

[AI] If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was handed a vessel, I would drink from it while being in my menstrual period, and then he would take it and place his mouth on the same spot. And if I had eaten the residue of sweat, he would drink from it and then place his mouth on the same spot.

إِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيُؤْتَى بِالْإِنَاءِ فَأَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُهُ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ وَإِنْ كُنْتُ لَآخُذُ الْعَرْقَ فَآكُلُ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُهُ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ

"I used to eat the meat from a bone when I was menstruating, then the Messenger of Allah would take it and put his mouth where my mouth had been. And I would drink from a vessel, and the Messenger of Allah would take it and put his mouth where my mouth had been, and I was menstruating." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 643)

عَائِشَةُ كُنْتُ أَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَرْقَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَيَأْخُذُهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ حَيْثُ كَانَ فَمِي وَأَشْرَبُ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ فَيَأْخَذُهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ حَيْثُ كَانَ فَمِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

"I would drink while I was menstruating, then I would hand it to the Prophet ﷺ, and he would put his mouth where mine had been and drink. And I would nibble at the bone on which some bits of meat were left while I was menstruating, then I would give it to the Prophet ﷺ and he would put his mouth where my mouth had been." كُنْتُ أَكُونُ حَائِضًا فَآخُذُ الْعَرْقَ فَأَتَعَرَّقُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَأُنَاوِلُهُ النَّبِيَّ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ وَأَشْرَبُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَأُنَاوِلُهُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ

[AI] "I used to place the vessel on my lap while I was menstruating, and then I would offer it to the Prophet ﷺ so he could place his mouth on the exact spot where I placed mine and he would take a sip while I was menstruating, and then I would offer it to him again and he would place his mouth on the exact spot."

«كُنْتُ أَضَعُ الْإِنَاءَ عَلَى فِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ أُنَاوِلُهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ وَآخُذُ الْعَرْقَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ أُنَاوِلُهُ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ»

[AI] "If someone were to bring me a vessel while I am menstruating, I would drink from it and then he would take it and put his mouth on the same place where I put my mouth, and he would drink. And if I sweat while I am menstruating, he would take it and put his mouth on the same place."

«إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأُوتَى بِالْإِنَاءِ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَأَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُهُ فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ فَيَشْرَبُ وَأَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَرْقَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَيَأْخُذُهُ فَيَضَعُ فَمَهُ مَوْضِعَ فِيَّ»

[AI] "If I bring the Prophet ﷺ water, let him take it and drink from it, then he would take it and place his mouth in the same spot as mine and drink. And if I take a piece of meat, he would eat from it and place his mouth in the same spot as mine and eat. And I am menstruating."

«إِنْ كُنْتُ لَآتِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِالْإِنَاءِ فَآخُذُهُ فَأَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ فَيَأْخُذُ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ مَوْضِعَ فِيَّ فَيَشْرَبُ وَإِنْ كُنْتُ لَآخُذُ الْعَرْقَ مِنَ اللَّحْمِ فَآكُلُهُ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيَّ فَيَأْكُلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ»

"I would drink while I was menstruating, then I would hand it to the Prophet ﷺ, and he would put his mouth where mine had been and drink. And I would nibble at the bone on which some bits of meat were left while I was menstruating, then I would give it to the Prophet ﷺ and he would put his mouth where my mouth had been." "While I was menstruating, I would nibble meat from a bone, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would put his mouth where mine had been. And while I was menstruating, I would drink from a vessel and he would put his mouth where mine had been." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 70)

كُنْتُ أَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَرْقَ «فَيَضَعُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَاهُ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَكُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ»

"كُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ فِي الإِنَاءِ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَيَأخُذُهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَيضعُ فاه عَلَى موْضِع فِي [فَيَشْرَبُ، وَكُنْتُ آخُذُ العِرْقَ فَأَنْتَهِشُ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ يَأَخُذُهُ مِنِّي فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِي] فينَهشُ مِنْهُ".
