[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "No one invokes a supplication except that Allah gives him what he asked for or protects him from an equivalent evil, as long as he does not invoke for sin or cutting ties of kinship."  

أحمد:١٤٨٧٩حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا أَحَدٌ يَدْعُو بِدُعَاءٍ إِلَّا آتَاهُ اللهُ مَا سَأَلَ أَوْ كَفَّ عَنْهُ مِنَ السُّوءِ مِثْلَهُ مَا لَمْ يَدْعُ بِإِثْمٍ أَوْ بِقَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ

the Messenger of Allah said: “There is none who utters a supplication, except that Allah gives him what he asked, or prevents evil from him that is equal to it – as long as he does not supplicate for something evil, or the cutting of ties of the womb.”  

الترمذي:٣٣٨١حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

“There is not a Muslim upon the earth who calls upon Allah with any supplication, except that Allah grants it to him, or he turns away from him the like of it in evil; as long as he does not supplicate for something sinful, or the severing of the ties of kinship.” So a man from the people said: “What if we should increase (in it)” He ﷺ said: “(With) Allah is more.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3573)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ مِنْ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَدْعُو اللهَ بِدَعْوَةٍ إِلَّا آتَاهُ اللهُإِيَّاهَا أَوْ كَفَّ عَنْهُ مِنَ السُّوءِ مِثْلَهَا مَا لَمْ يَدْعُ بِإِثْمٍ أَوْ قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ
