adab:391 –

Abu'd-Darda' reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Shall I tell you a degree better than prayer, fasting and sadaqa?" "Yes," they replied. He went to say, Improving a state of friendship. Causing discord in a state of friendship is what shaves things away."

الأدب المفرد:٣٩١ – حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ

Resolving disputes is more virtuous than fasting, prayer, and charity

abudawud:4919 – Muḥammad b. al-ʿAlāʾ > Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > ʿAmr b. Murrah > Sālim > Um al-Dardāʾ > Abū al-Dardāʾ

The Prophet ﷺ said: Shall I not inform you of something more more virtuous than fasting, prayer and charity? The people replied: Yes, Prophet of Allah! He said: It is putting things right between people, while causing discord between them is ˹destructive and˺ shaves off ˹good deeds˺.

أبو داود:٤٩١٩ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَلاَ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَفْضَلَ مِنْ دَرَجَةِ الصِّيَامِ وَالصَّلاَةِ وَالصَّدَقَةِ؟» قَالُوا: بَلَى! قَالَ: «إِصْلاَحُ ذَاتِ الْبَيْنِ وَفَسَادُ ذَاتِ الْبَيْنِ الْحَالِقَةُ۔»

tirmidhi:2509 – Hannād > Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > ʿAmr b. Murrah > Sālim b. Abū al-Jaʿd > Um al-Dardāʾ > Abū al-Dardāʾ

"Shall I not inform you of what is more virtuous than the rank of fasting, Salat, and charity?" They said: "But of course!" He said: "Making peace between each other. For indeed spoiling relations with each other is the Haliqah." It has been related that the Prophet SAW said: "It is the Haliqah, I do not speak of what cuts hair, but it severs the religion."
