adab:230 –

Abu Dharr reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I was shown the actions of my Community - both good and evil - and I found that one of their good actions is removing harmful things from the road, I found that one of the evil actions was spit in the mosque which is not buried."

الأدب المفرد:٢٣٠ – حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيٌّ عَنْ وَاصِلٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَُرَ عَنْ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ أَعْمَالُ أُمَّتِي حَسَنُهَا وَسَيِّئُهَا فَوَجَدْتُ فِي مَحَاسِنِ أَعْمَالِهَا أَنَّ الأَذَى يُمَاطُ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ وَوَجَدْتُ فِي مَسَاوِئِ أَعْمَالِهَا النُّخَاعَةَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لاَ تُدْفَنُ

from the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “The deeds of my community were shown to me—the good and the bad. I found among its good deeds the removal of harm from the road, and I found among its bad deeds phlegm left in the mosque without being buried.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «عُرِضَتْ عَلَىَّ أَعْمَالُ أُمَّتِي حَسَنُهَا وَسَيِّئُهَا، فَوَجَدْتُ فِي مَحَاسِنِ أَعْمَالِهَا الأَذَى يُمَاطُ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ، وَوَجَدْتُ فِي مَسَاوِي أَعْمَالِهَا النُّخَاعَةَ تَكُونُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لاَ تُدْفَنُ»

"My nation was shown to me with their good deeds and bad deeds. Among their good deeds I saw a harmful thing being removed from the road. And among their bad deeds I saw sputum in the mosque that had not been removed."

ابن ماجة:٣٦٨٣ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ وَاصِلٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُقَيْلٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ
